back to your argument....did you have a warranty?

if its within the first year of purchase...or you have apple care (which increases it to three years) you could get a replacement...
It's my laptop and the people who owned it took Apple and Sony to court and won $26,000 USD in compensation.

In regards to your,
i dont like the fact that it runs all these programs that are hidden
Open up shell and type
ps -aux
I guess that should work as Mac is basically a commercial version of Linux.

The shell is accessed through the Terminal program, which you will find under Applications->Utilities.

I dont actually mind Macs as such, I mind the stupid price tag and the almost crusader like fanboy mac owners than come with it.

people always say "they do stuff better" which in itself is such a loose argument im not going to bother picking apart, but the reality is that simply *cant* do anything better than a pc with better spec for less cost. Physics dictates that the hardware present in the machine is directly proportional to the performance of the machine, so all this "its better for photoshop/redtube/whatever" is simply a moot point.

So what do they do?

They look good - i'll be the first to admit that even though im a PC bloke to the bone.

So if thats what you want then great - go for it. Just dont try to tell me your 2Ghz duo is faster in photoshop than my 3.6 Ghz quad with 4 gig of DDR 3 1333Mhz!

It is a bash command. Should 'just' work.

Try typing top instead.

Same here,

^ Took this while my iPhone is being synced.

Type uptime and paste the three numbers here.

And Skream is a windows head because Fruity loops doesn't run on Mac.

And by the way,
PC...i dont like the interface...i dont like the fact that it runs all these programs that are hidden...it takes forever to boot up...constant freezing whether its internet or just software usage...bad tech support...etc...and i just like apple products better...
Sorry to keep nit picking but,

1. Don't like the interface? It is fully customisable.
2. Runs all these programs that are hidden? Like I just showed you all operating systems do too?
3. Forever to boot up? Disk defrag, turn off shit that starts at boot or upgrade your hardware.
4. "Constant freezing" - yeah right. Problem exists between keyboard and chair.
5. Bad tech support is down to the people who sold you the computer. For everything else there is google.
6. "and I just like apple products better" - you are the audience they are targetting, people who buy into a brand.

You just end the one process that is causing you trouble - just like a mac.

+ what i really like about macs is you can run both windows and osx on it, using boot camp,
or if you cant be assed using bootcamp you can use parrells which is just a program u download an its basically a windows emulator that works fine.
But mainly only with smaller programs.

As far as ive seen you cant put mac onto a pc though..

And macs are better because theres hardly any virus's out for them.. i think theres like 1 virus thats known for mac.
whilst pc's on the other hand have like 1000 new ones every day.

The oldest argument in the book right here.

You know why there are viruses? It's what happens when you use the worlds most popular operating system. Schools, Offices, Hospitals, Banks, Cash Machines - majority of the machines you come into contact with run off of Windows.

A well protected system will recieve 0 viruses. But at the end of the day, it's down to you what websites you visit, your fault, your problem.

If you want to talk about virus count then Linux > *.
