I'm pretty sure Dubstep is taken extremely seriously.
Aside from that, shouldn't music be enjoyable? Different types of music emit different emotions from your person, there's nothing wrong with a bit of fun or cheekiness and thats exactly what caspa and rusko bring to the table.
Diversity is the spice of life. The fact Caspa and Rusko can perform under the same umbrella as artists like Mala, Burial, Joker and 2562 is one of the reasons so many people like "dubstep".
I'm not saying everyone should like every kind of artist making dubstep, whether its deep or wobbly or whatever. I'm just trying to point out that people are stating some pretty extreme opinions in this topic - there are no governors in our scene, just live and let die.
I'm sure there are thousands of people who enjoy caspa and rusko the same way people enjoy anti social. Just let everyone do their thing, if it's not to your taste, you're welcome to your opinions. But nobody has the authority to say what should and shouldn't be allowed in dubstep or at FWD for that matter.
This.
Nah. Forget about the 'genre' for a second. Would you actually want to hear that shit if it wasn't part of the same genre. You guys are too close to the wood and have forgotten the trees, or whatever the phrase is.
Exacly what im saying, and from what i know, dmz is supposed to be the biggest dubstep event in the world and the most respected, i have been going dmz since 2005 and i have never missed 1 since that year, i have not once EVER SEEN Caspa OR Rusko there, and i bloody wonder why??
All the biggest cats have played @ dmz including, skream, benga, cotti & clue kid, heny.g,quest, silkie, tes la rock, distance, kode 9,hatcha,plastician,cyrus,youngsta,even kutz has played recently, but i dont see caspa or rusko, thank fuck for that!
Please dont get me wrong tho, im not discrediting the hard work they have put in, if it wasnt for Dub Police, i wouldnt own a copy of one of the most incredible dubstep tracks ever made ''forever'' by quest, so yes, there is work they have done that i appreciate, but its just them as an act, compeard to ANYTHING ELSE I HAVE HEARD ON RADIO OR IN THE DANCE, i really dont rate anything they are doing, you think i support ''Get your cock out?'', come on please!
I think you need to understand that im alot older than u think!Be my age and u might understand where im coming from.

So im glad my first experience of dubstep was at dmz where you get to hear all the different styles of dubstep.
nah ill agree to this.
i think this is half my problem with that sound there pushin that it attracts dickheads somehow that just shit on the vibe. im sorry but them guys need to fuck off, one of the main things about dubstep is the passion for the sound as a whole, the diversity and the blend of all styles.
how are you gonna come to a dubstep night and not be open for some experimentalism (if ur just hearin about it only from caspa and rusko and its new to you); when the genre was born around innovation. thats like goin to eat in posh restaurant looking for burgers and chips only.

i remember a time, not long ago, where everyone and his mom where hyping caspa and rusko like mad... now they have some sucsess with what they been hyped for and everyone and his mom turns into haters...!? sorry, but i don't get that...
both of'em have made very big tunes in the past like custard chucker, velvet rooms, louder, for the kids, jahova, acton dread, soundguy target, cockney thug, love is real, 2naQ, hammertime etc.... and they done some marmite tunes like biggest chopper, where's my money, mr. chips , etc.. whatever tune falls in the marmite categories is your subjective opinion. nothing more. some people love'em, some people hate'em... so what??? let them do there thing... these guys been there from the early days... they are capable of making very big tunes, smasher and melodic...
so many hater simply mean you do something very right (in my opinion).
to say they are not dubstep is the same ridicolous statement as saying that only they are dubstep? lol....
my 2 cents, whatever... peace in our culture

whatever people wanna say about caspa and rusko...
there music IS dubstep, so whether u personally welcome it or not is irrelevant. it is a part of the genre, there is nothing to dispute here.

If you love something you have the feeling you need to protect something
eventually, like everything, you have to let go of it...
Hiphop = Crunk, RnB, Stonesthrow, Ludacris, Madlib, Souljah Boy
Just find the perfect way thru it by doing your own thing
Me myself has it hard to say this because i dont want Dubstep to become like DnB but im afraid i need to start livin with it...

LOL, the same people bitching about this guy are the same people who bitch people whinging about it on a forum.
Looks like tunes like Moaners and that worked, because they're getting told.
So yeah the guy that shouted that out is a g. Not because Caspa and Rusko aren't dubstep, they obv are and have made some big tunes. And anyone who reaches FWD knows the night is far from just dubstep. But because that guy feels strong enough about something a lot of people have noticed and is going to the source and made a point (albeit in a balls out manner).

Agreed. But its not them its the people they attract, if they start coming dmz and barging and swinging the shirts in the air it would push the regular dmz goers away. Or people would leave the room and go outside during their sets.
However when I saw rusko in Paris recently, I can tell you he played a heavy set and no dick heads in sight. Maybe its just in England.

hardly, 9/10 people would shout it, probably even say it 2 his face, the people who would however have got enough common sense not to be there in the 1st place

Dunno the situation for the OP, but FWD>> is one of them nights you always reach if you're in ldn sun/mon (for outsiders). That's just the way it goes.
But no, 9/10 would not say it out loud and less to his face. Most of the whinging on this forum is by people who don't go to raves.
