I wouldn't say Dubstep is dead. It's just like any genre, after a few years its begun to diversify and brings sub genres with tracks that are often shit. There's still good producers out there making dope tunes, promoters putting on dope shows, record stores pulling record sales etc.. It's just now the listener has to choose what they want to hear. All part of the genre and growing and developing IMO

What killed dubstep?

* The influence of house music
* The influence of really gay garage
* The influence of god awful drum n bass
* This forum
* Me
* Tunes with a soft cheesy synth at the beggining, some sample from a guy ritchie film, really unimaginative beat with cliche mid range wobbling.. little quiet bit for about 30 seconds, and then the whole thing again.

but most of all, it's everyone writing the same tunes over and over again, you can deny it, but it's true, i dont even have the displeasure of sifting through the record shop websites looking a decent tune and I still know they're all shit, it seems everyone gets and erection over really basic shit aswell, like when zomby uses a gameboy sample over one of his bore-fest tunes 'how creative!' or when mala uses a little shaker with loads of reverb.. wow that's... 'deep'
this is why dubstep is dead in a ditch on the side of a small back road on the way to shropshire.

i'm joking of course, but i did mean everything i said.

wanker. same with any kind of music. i'd love to see you make a shit load of tunes where every single one is inspirational, creative or different.

dubstep will never die as long as people still feel it

Hmmm I feel some people are erroneously taking this seriously. This is the Secret Ninja Hideout. Serious discussions on the 'ruination' of dubstep surely belong on the main forum.

I was looking for irrational theories backed up with nonsensical logic.

I'm starting to think the ruin of dubstep is a big conspiracy initiated by Additech. Why would we need to 'keep dubstep alive' if they hadn't tried killing it in the first place? And all so they can make a bit of money. Its abhorrent

But kromestar was the first !!!!

I mean how many sound the same shitty tunes can one man release on
4 or 5 labels , all crap!!!!!

So many tunes seeing vinyl releases that should have never been written, much less released, by multiple offenders

Go to any online record store and look at the pages and pages of crap.

There are a few gems , but they get lost in the rubbish.

And before anybody says you should'nt call out individual producers, it bad taste , blah, blah ,blah,;let me go ahead and say FUCK YOU ahead of time.

I'm sure the mods will close or delete this, so the last sentence above applies to you as well.

Seems the only thing thats aloud here is big up this guy, or I wanna blow this producer etc, etc.

End of rant.

Have a nice day

:) :)
