This is really an amazing time for dubstep. Congrats to Chase and Status. The people trying to gate keep this genre from becoming "mainstream" are unfortunately attempting to limit EVERYONE invovled with the genre's continued success. The fact that mainstream artists continue to embrace the style and different opinions are being brought to the table is part of the natural process of all great art being discovered. It means all of the things everyone here likes about dubstep are things that millions will continue to like about dubstep. Snoop Dog knows the term dubstep, amazing! congrats, cause its a sign of a lot of peoples hard work and dedication. It's a sign that fresh original sounds will continue to be embraced. The standard continues to shift and none of us should fear this. It simply increases the potentials for all of us to succeed.

all in all i think people need to accept that a major demographic of forum users are sad acts who have nothing better to do than cling to the belief that they are part of something thats more than just another type of dance music.
A lot of us (like myself) use the forum to pass time at work, get mixes and find out about production from others with the same interests. Others may use it to get a name for themselves if they dj, others may use it to promote, some however - such as the type of people i first mentioned, can not understand that other people are starting to like dubstep and that means that they wont be as "individual" as they were 2 years ago.
Leave them to it, it'll be me thats laughing when i'm mingling with all the new found female lovers of dubstep sitting drinking sailor jerrys and getting k'd out my face while they sit on here talking about how shit rusko is.
