Yeah it's a dedrogatory term invented by miggle class wankers to describe predominantly white working class youths. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Could go on for ages about the social/political/prejudice of the term, but i cant be arsed....
Google it.....
EDIT...Parson.. Gobby means loud, mouthy. As in to use ones mouth in a somewhat rude manner..

I get what hes trying to say, using the term chav wasnt the best way to go about it.
Eventually, with every type of music, the commercial population catch on to a sound, they dont go to nights because of their love of the music, they go because 'its the in thing to do'. This helps to ruin the vibe at nights, and because the main focus isnt the music anymore, the amount of trouble/attitude/screw faces increases from some people.
My housemate went to DnB night in Birmingham on Friday and she was actually scared to look at some people. One of the guys she was with was punched 3 times by different groups of kiddies, garanteed all he did wrong was act battered in front of the wrong people. That would never happen at a Dubstep night.
The term chav was used in Wales for years before the media decided to latch onto it as a term to describe 'working class yobs in hoods' or any of that bullshit. Chav in Wales means anyone who is out to cause trouble, be it working or middle class, you could be a blacked out goth but if you go around starting shit for no reason your chavvy scum.
I dont want this to be controlled in any way, nor do i want any 'type' of person excluded from hearing it. Im just not looking forward to when the vibe of a night is ruined by ANYONE who isnt there for the music and wants to start some shit.

Actually I do. I get 0.000001p every time the terms used. I've almost made 10p now (minus transfer costs of £47).
