@Resik21- loving the drop man. the intro i'm not really diggin' though. im looking forward to hearing some percussion behind your drop. keep working on it :)

@antman, haha the intro to your song seems to be mocking me. the drop, im not sure if its just my headphones but I cant really hear any sub. Like I said that could just be my headphones though. Good job. Think itd be cool if you brought your drums out a little more. Liking the hats. And the Joker samples haha.

@jakedubber, digging your song ay. Really cool samples, and heavy sub. Lovin it

Heres mine. Aint been producing too long, so I'd love some feedback.

cheers jbe ^^ sick fb, thx, gonna go back and completly redo the subs .. liking your tune man, all the elements are sounding clean and compently produced :) sorry i cant come up with anyhing more constructive but i was glad when the breakdown came (scrolled up to check it wasnt the end) as it accompanys my chilled sat. morning ^^ , maybe add some more notes into the piano after the second drop like nice incedental high notes (opinion/guess) , not to sure how i feel about the mid/high range kick layer (runs thru thrack disapears at 6:00). great work tho

@ jackdubber, cheers man, sidechaincompression... thats always been on my list of things to do but havent got round too ^^ this seems like a good weekend to do it. ....

@plastic_silence, nice track!, its all really good, not keen on the male vocal predrop but really like the pitchted up vocal at the breakdown. looking forward to hearing what you do with it. maybe the guitar/rock elements could be louder really annoncing the begining? but it works just as well.

@nacklewacket: ive got my sub turned down sounds fine. turn it all the way up. sounds fine. :W: (imo)

@Debaser1
nice tune mate maybe add one pad in the background or smthing :)
@jakedubber
turn the volume a little lower on the wobbles and that should make it badass

Here's some dramatic dubstep .

@BlackLotus - Cool stuff - you've got some nice sounds in there. Try sticking in a melody and some hi-hats to occupy the high frequencies. I like your kick sound, it fits really nicely into the mix. I think a little more sub wouldn't go amiss, although it might just be my phenomenally shit monitors. Try slowing down the LFO and throwing in some new synth sounds when you change up the drums to make it obvious that it's the really brutal, beat-down part. If you haven't heard it, have a listen to Dubba Jonny's Brief Introduction to Dubstep if you haven't already heard it. It's not particularly serious, but there are some genuinely useful tips in there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkYhneTczXo
haha thanks , ya im at a friend at the moment so will do so when i get back , been having trouble making a suitable melody but i;ll give it a crack when i get back , thanks i think i used my favourite kick in this track :D , there's sub there but i might have turned it down a bit , i understand what you mean for the like 4/4 part i'm going to do stuff with the hi hats and maybe get another sound in sidechained etc and build ups with fx would help anyway shot

Budsteq, thanks for the input. I actually changed up the intro a bit, mind telling me what you think about it now?
I have some time to myself today, so that's all going to go into this track hopefully
but I'm liking your sound A LOT, really dark and ominous :D the piano fills with the wobbles perfectly. Sounds like you know what you're doing

JBE, WOW. That is all. Chilled tune made to perfection. I seriously hear nothing wrong with it, loving every second of those chill vibes

FRasch, to the song you posted below me. your trying to produce something worth listening to? WELL YOU DID IT, that shit is grade A awesomeness. :corndance:

*EDIT* Made the drums a little bit louder, you can actually hear them

budsteq: Chill vibe. I think the drums sounds too weak and not a fan of the patterning, but thats just my taste I recogn :) I like when the lfo'd synth goes higher in freq at about 2:15 or something.

antman: I love the sound on the first synth, I think the other sounds you bring in after that sounds abit like default synth presets, if I am wrong I am sorry, it might be me that doesn't really like chimes or chimey sounds :P The "Why so serious" joker sample was cool :)

JBE: Damn, that start is really sweet. Nice and chill vibe, I was really hoping for the song to go in a crazier direction after a while but thats just cause the dubstep I prefer to listen to tho, this is an awesome piece of work and something I would love to listen to when falling asleep :)

My recent attempt at trying to produce something worth listening to in this genre:

cheers for the feedback man. might add a bit of compression to give those drums a bit more punch, do a bit of EQing haha.

Frasch: The atmosphere is large. I don't like the crash hit at :35, maybe reverse it and stretch it. But I'm loving the drop and the synth hits. You got talent my friend, this tunes sick. I'd say end it with one of those downwards sliding subbass sounds like at 4:01, but a little lower pitch and tonal.

resik: Really interesting intro, the drums could use some reworking and reverb. Some cool sounds going on after the drop, but its missing a lead, whether that be a bass lead (wawwbles) or some synth.

budsteq: Everything harmonizes well. At 0:22, the drums make me think the songs about to go to double time. It'd sound good and add some variation if you switched up the tempo feel to double there (or later, using that fill to lead into it), then switched back. I was waiting for a really heavy Flux Pavillion type drop around 2:45, dunno if its your cup of tea, but a nice heavy drop around then would intensely massify this song

Heres my wip. I was thinking of putting a jazz ride swing rhythm over the offbeat wobbs at 1:52

Cheers mate, thanks for the feedback, that crash was bothering me as well, really. Also, good idea on how to end the song!

As for your song: That intro is insanely cool! Really knocks my interest-level up some notches. I think the pianoish sound works pretty good, but I don't like the extra synth that comes in later, it sounds abit "childish", hard to explain while being slightly drunk. What happens at 1:42 is really awesome by the way, would love to hear more of that earlier in the tune! Sweet tune tho, really happy vibe going :)

Thanks bro, glad you enjoyed it :D What part of the song was the synth that sounded kind of childish? I'll see what I can do to make it fit better.

I think its both the sound and melody that gives me that feeling of a childish synth, lol.. I am no better at explaining this now :) One more thing I noticed tho was that it seems your tune doesnt have any snare? I think you have a nice starting point here tho'. Would love to hear the song with some more "dubsteppy" drums and not so much that tecno sound, if you know what I mean? :)

Fluidmoshun: Im always a fan of your ideas man. Your chord sequences are always sick! I think your sub could hit lower and harder. That panned bass at the end made me shit myself through these headphones. Overall a good'n! Few tweaks production wise needed, but ideas are 100%. Hook me up on soundcloud when it's done man.

Frasch: Wow that percussion is ace. So much space you've used. Really clear. Having said that, your bases made me unhappy. Not because they're bad, they just don't hit hard enough. Maybe some subtle high end distortion? Also, kick was a bit lost for me personally. Nice track though.

Resik: Intro was fairly schizo - in a good way. Drums are completely swamped here, can barely hear them! Honestly if they punched through I'd have nowt but praise for you. That reversy kinda bass was astonishing. Needs a big sub though.

Ok, so I know I'm back again soon (creative juices flowing) but I knocked this up in about an hour:

Debaser1: Awesome intro, with the subtle violins and that. The part after the intro was even awesomer. Thanks for the feedback as well, I will definitely try out some of your tips :)

haha thanks for making me feel good about my work man :m: Your tunes always got a wicked epic sound. The build up is dope, the synth sounds like an improv jam and the drop is pretty beast. Only thing I can say is that you should vary up the bwomp womps at the start of each measure when the drop kicks.

thanks for the feedback. i'll try to make the predrop more interesting with some in tune pitching here and there, vocal doubling, something like that. 8)
anyone else care to take a stab at it?

I think the male vocals works fine, not a mindblowing vocal performance, but to me it sounds good. Would love to hear a more distinct transition into that first drop, and louder guitars. That being said, those breathing guitars are simply amazing! The breakdown section with the pitched, chopped vocals is also really sweet. In my book this song is pretty wickid as it is tho, I am sure it will be really sick if you perfect it!

Plastic silence- your sounds are huge. wouldnt mind knowing how to do that aha. Nicce deep track.

FluidMoShun- I like that lead, what are you using? I think the drums are just kinda crowded.

Debaser- you always come out with sick shit, are you signed by anybody ? your mastering always ends up perfect.

I think ive asked more questions than given any feedback but heres my track anyways aha.

thank you for the input all :h:
I edited my last post and took your guy's advice. I made the drums punch through and added a little bit of experimentation to the drop.
Definitely going to add a lead today, I just can't decide how to make it work it feels cluttered already, ya know?

The drop just doesn't hit hard enough imo. The part you got right now as a drop would work good as a bridge after the drop, but some heavy wobbling of tha bass that sucker punches your eardrums would sound dope. I'd say take out most of the elements in the drop so a lead wouldn't sound cluttered. Then after a heavy part, bring them back as a bridge and then drop it again or go somewhere else with the song. This songs got potential to be utterly sick.
