No no, I have. And if I were forced to go to a funky night, and a gabber/hardcore night I'd choose the gabber night 10/10 times.

I could definitely agree with this to a point. A very very small amount of weed (say smoking half a bowl) can be really great for my creativity but the catch is that who wants to only smoke half a bowl. If I'm getting baked, it's cause I probably want to get completely ripped.

I think that capitalism is a system wich will innevitably fail whatever you do to make it better. Sadly, there's no hope for something better since lberal socialists are ok with capitalism and that most of the leftist are as stupid as the conservative rednecks.
Most socialists (anarchist, communists and others) are a bunch of frustrated individuals who need to group together to feel like they are part of something bigger than their own life. In order to get in an anarchist organisation, you need to conform to their way of thinking....how pathetic is that. I consider myself an anarchist, but will never support these people.

You mean people might have differing opinions about music!???
:O :O :O :O
Sorry Baron there's no way you can possibly start white knighting for funky. I'm not saying that gabber is in any way good, or even listenable music. But faced with the choice between it, and the gay barebacking in a club anthems that get lumped under the umbrella of 'funky' I'd rather bang my head against the wall at 170 bpm in time with the music to gabber.

i don't believe that global warming and climate change are caused by the consumption of fossil fuels... it's just a cycle the earth goes through... for millions of years the earth's temperature has fluctuated in this way and there is no conclusive evidence to show that the recent rise in the temperature of the earth is caused by anything other than the earth's natural cycle... (this is not to say that we shouldn't conserver energy and resources... there are a million other reasons why we should!)
So yeah... i don't believe in "global warming"...
I have some really interesting books on this if anyone is interested to know more... will dig em out and post the titles/authors.
i kinda think this, but at the same time wonder if it isnt just easier to dissprove anything than it is to prove it, and am i being effected by the whole "every thing is a conspiracy" mentallity that has grown so much with the help of things like the 9/11 and princess Di stuff.

I hear ya... and I can assure you i'm not a conspiracy nut... in fact, in most of these debates (9/11 type tings) I sit on the fence cos i personally believe there is far too much crazy shit going on and so many factors and things that i don't know about or understand that I could not possibly be sure of what actually happened...
In this case however I really am pretty convinced... not 100%... but mostly.
My dad has this really amazing book on the subject i'll dig it out or find out the details when i next speak to him.
sounds interesting, would appriciate reading.

i just like the production values of modern electronic music...fsol & boards of canada come close to the depth of old

Funky fucking sucks - agreed
Electro House fucking sucks - STRONGLY disagree. there are some absolutely banging tunes out there, anyone who likes wobbly rowdy dubstep should automatically like electro. Proxy, Jack Beats, Alter Ego, Deadmua5... the list is so large theres so many sick producers out there making wobbly wnagy squelchy house riddims. If all youve been exposed to is that david guetta and ' the best electro house anthems 2008' then i can understand not liking the genre but trust me theres some sick sick tunes out there

Haha. My housemate runs the Tweak and Bleep nights (they're just relocating to Scala)... I just can't work it out. I think he maybe just plays rubbish tunes.
