speaking of bad movies, i saw return of the living dead: rave to the grave, and did not hate it one bit. very entertaining. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411806/

Terrible, I couldn't finish it, there's no way I'm subjecting myself to the rest of this shit.

I've never seen a cinema audience so gripped by a Western scary movie, tbh. It's still one of my absolute favourites.... all atmosphere and no cheap (read: high budget) tricks/jumps... never truly knowing if they're not going mad/playing tricks on each other is excellent.

It does lose a bit on the small screen... but standard horror rules should always apply with scary movies - all lights off, curtains closed, volume up, NO BREAKS and NO FUCKING TALKING... suspension of disbelief is more important than in any other genre. I remember getting the "meh, it's not scary though" response when I showed some mates The Exorcist during our GCSE exam leave... "NO, YOU JUST REFUSED TO LET YOURSELF BE SCARED BECAUSE YOU'RE A BUNCH OF PUSSIES"
I think the main reason people hated it (originally) was the ending. You had to have felt cheated lol
the ending was amazing imo, perfect

I've recently been watching The Thick Of It, a British series revolving around politics, specifically the Social Department.

I curse myself for not finding out about this sooner. It's fucking gold. Chris Langham, real live conviction aside, is fucking hilarious.

Balir Witch truly is great. One of the only films I can honestly think of that has had be scared. I've always felt a bit uneasy in the woods, even with people there, just the thought of being stuck out alone is too much (we have some famous "haunted" woods round here like sally in the woods etc)

FIlmed great, acted great and I read that it was almost all adlib'd , aside from a few directors pointers. Too many people poopoo that film after seeing it which is such a shame

The peek of The Thick Of It was the Xmas specials. No Chris Langham because...well you know why, but that meant the focus was primarily on Malcolm and Jamie. The way it all turns out for Malcolm in those episodes is priceless. Was disappointed when Jamie wasn't there in the last series. Still quality though.

I could continiously quote this fucking show until I passed out. The show does great every series, Jamie's absence is a bit felt, though, but as for Hugh - it actually makes me upset. He was such a fucking legend, it was like looking into my pessimism's future.
I'm sure it can be avoided, and I can accept things at face value, but his conviction obviously lays an eternal path of nothing in terms of career, and it will never happen as we've not and probably never will adopt a coherent opinion and method on treating people in association with his crime, but...I wouldn't say no to him re-appearing.
