@reignz prime track. good samples.
@Project Ex i like how ur going for a different sound.
Finished my second Drumstep tune. If you play Half-Life then you know. Download available. Scope and review.
Not really my style. I think bass at the drop need to be bigger, there is not very much low end going on. I do find the hats interesting tho.

@Joyz0r really like the weird sounds and samples you got in here. cool ideas. really needs some bass though
@kievccs nice atmosphere in this track so far. interested to see where it goes and what happens. good mix
@bRRRz cool synth sound. pretty nice drop too. feels like it needs something to tie it together though. maybe a vocal clip or something? maybe change up the drums or something as it progresses as well
@Noonyez like the Half Life clip hah. percussion sounds cool but the hi-hats or whatever those are carry on too long / too powerfully. feel like the synth needs more presence although i'm not as familiar with the genre.
Help! I'm wondering what i'm supposed to call this... I took just the one verse by Nicki Minaj off the song: Trey Songz - Bottoms Up ft. Nicki Minaj.
Do I call it a remix of that whole song? as in Trey Songz - Bottoms Up ft. Nicki Minaj (Dissent Remix) or do I say featuring Nicki Minaj or ... what? Thanks for comments and help!

jimbeaux: man you got some sick sounds in there! I think you should really up the level on the drums though to keep up with that fat bass!
Dissent: sick track man, really diggin the vibes! i think you could tone down the yaiiiiiiiii just a tad bit good shit man
Noonyez: hmm idk, i think you should speed that bass up or turn those hats down, the hats get really repetitive i think, but other than that i like it, sick sample too!
just finished this remix up in time before the deadline for the competition!
lol not like I will have any chance of winning, the statelapse remix is so good, still it was so fun to make this remix
@Dissent: this is diiiirty! i love the contrast between that filthy wobble and that lighter pad in the background. as far as naming it goes, I'd personally consider it a remix (although I haven't heard the original so I don't know how much of it you used)
@noonyez: hahahaha hell yeah that clip is so perfect for a step tune! but like someone else already said, that drop definitely needs to be bigger in my opinion. drums are on point though, it sounds good!
@kievccs: oooooo man, this is sick! i love that flute instrument, and that bass in there is incredible! i'm lovin the snare as well, definitely took this one in a unique direction. big ups!
@ogunslinger: commented on this in the wip thread, but this version sounds a little different than the one i heard. i'm in love with the bass you got goin on, and i really dig the second drop, fucking hugeee
noob alert! here's my 3rd or so somewhat-decent track. i'd love to hear some criticism from you guys as i'm craving some production knowledge really appreciate it

@ nooneyz: Interesting track, but the bass could do with some tweaking, it's just not "in your face" enough. And the snare isn't as powerful as me a listener would like, for that track.
@ will ryan: Pretty sweet remix, liking how the wobbles follow the melody of the original track
Sick tune, I'm liking the sparse atmospheric intro, and good sampling. Maybe you could step it up a little in the middle with some shuffely hats or similar. dunno just a thought.

Nice and frantic drums going on here but the intro drags a little, maybe you could spruce it up a little. And the cymbal that comes in could do with coming up in the mix a bit.
@will-ryan: I like the intro, The drop needs more ooomph. Synths are nice tho, with some good use of stereo widening. Very good progression too, with clear sections. Good work. The vocals need way more processing tho, because at the moment they are very 'dry'.
@jaydot: *drops some acid* Not really my cup of tea (whilst stone cold sober) to be honest mate.Does get my head bopping nevertheless Very full sound, durms are punchy,
@Grace: this is lush. Got some great texture going on. Lovely little elements coming in and out which seem to achingly be echo'd into each other. Good stuff. Would like to hear this one longer and with a switch up.
I have a load of new tunes which I really need to start 'releasing' - has it really been 3 months since I last uploaded a track to soundcloud??
@Kievccs "Breach clip" - Heavy! reallly deep and nice. Love the percussion sounds, sounds very middle eastern and I'm really diggin the vibe. Would love to hear a full version of this.
@Dissent "Slugga" - Bad as fuck man, I very much the production and sounds you have here. I quite like the reggae vibe you have going on hear, lovin the vocals too. Good work!
@Jimbeaux "manson" - Messy as sin, in a good way! Some of the sample quotes seem a little too loud and drown out the rest of the track but I love the bass and synths you have going on here. Crazy shit. The drums could use some work as theyre being drowned out so get workin on that! Nice one mate.
@Ogunslinger "pendulum" - Really good production.. very nice. I actually really like the drum sounds you have here, maybe bring the hats up just a tad but the mix sounds perfect otherwise. Plenty of space but still powerful sounding. Only other thing I can probably say is to maybe mix up some of the synth melodies as it gets a little repetitive I guess. Good work though man!
@WillRyan042 "toxic" - Not tooo bad man, I see what you're going for here. You got some decent melodies here and the variety is decent! but everything seems a little bit underwhelming. Since I'm not brilliant at production myself I'm not sure what to suggest. I think the snare needs to be snappier and heavier though. Nice one dude.
That's all I've got time for right now. More feedback soon though. Hoping to get some feedback on mine too. Cheeers!
@jstick- dign the 8 bit sounding intro, and the smooth sub bass. good material for sure.
@paul2801- keep it up man, I'm new to this as well. just learn as much as you can an do some research on dogsonacid.com in the grid. alot of great tips in there.
here's another track I've done that's a little more chill.
