found it '3,244 interviews with a representative, random sample of adults in Britain, carried out between June and October 2013.'

the views of 3,244 people are hardly reflective of the views 63 million people
of those pple over 50% said that immigration was beneficial to the UK anyway.
that question is also vague
it asks if they would like to see a reduction in immigration.
that can mean nearly anything.from one less person a year to stopping immigration practically all together.

Jaydot. in this whole thread you haven't addressed the fundamental point of most of our arguments.
you are normally a labour voter. UKIP's policies are the polar opposite to labour, they are like conservatives x 10
hos can you vote in a party which will make life for the working class even haven harder through the reduction of the welfare state.

under ukip that the rich will get taxed less and the less rich get taxed more. is that what you want?

they want to leave the eu which will damage our economy badly and isolate us as a country. why do you want that?

'Green spaces should be protected - we oppose excessive
housing development, wind farms and HS2'

they wont build more houses despite the fact we are in a huge housing crisis.
and they are climate change critics despite the fact it has been accepted for years that we need to reduce our co2 emmisions to half of what they were in 1990 to avoid anything more than a 2 degree rise in global temperature. and also when you take into consideration the smog in london over the last year

imagine how poor their foreign policy will be and how shit at negotiations. we risk exiling ourselves from the global community. for example UKIP supports the israeli apartheid
http://www.algemeiner.com/2013/07/22/uk ... ts-israel/

yes they will reduce immigration whihc u seem to be a fan of doing. but is that worth all of the above happening?

and actually respond to these points with a coherent argument or you might as well just be brain washed

Actually some of UKIP policies are Labour-ish, but because so many of them contradict each who the fuck knows what they're trying to do

People Are Wasting UKIP’s Money By Sending Bricks To The Party’s Freepost Address

Opponents of UKIP are sending hundreds of items, including bricks, to the party’s Freepost address in the hope of running up a massive postal bill for the party.

The Royal Mail service enables any member of the public to send anything to an organisation with a Freepost address, with the recipient picking up the bill.

When a similar protest hit Nottinghamshire Lib Dems the police said it was not a crime to send bricks to a Freepost address.

Check out what people have been sending :h:

Proud to say this is my local, and the place we put on our nights;

Nigel Farage and Ukip asked to leave Bell Inn pub in Bath

Ukip leader Nigel Farage was asked to leave a Bath pub today, the venue having been chosen to host the launch of his party’s European elections campaign in the South West.

After turning up at the Bell Inn on Walcot Street - famous for its collection of independent traders - with his entourage and a BBC film crew, Mr Farage was told it was ‘inappropriate’.

The venue was chosen by local businessman Martin Tracy as a way of promoting Walcot Street but pub manager Jamie Matthews objected.

On the pub’s Facebook page, senior manager Mr Matthews wrote: “Just had UKIP leader Nigel Farage and his be-suited henchmen in the pub with a BBC News film crew. Avoiding any actual political argument, I told him that he was welcome as a citizen to have a pint – we are, after all, a public house – but it was inappropriate for him to be using our premises for his hustings. I asked the camera man to stop filming.

“Most of the entourage then finished or left their drinks and went outside. They may have continued filming outside, I don’t know, but that is the public highway and they have every right to.

“Martin Tracy of The Framing Workshop said he’d brought them in as he thought it would help raise the profile of Walcot Street. He had the decency to apologise when he realised how inapt that was.”

He added later: "I did not kick him out."

Mr Tracy, who represents Walcot Street's traders, told the Western Daily Press this afternoon: "I don't align myself with any political party; I never have.

"He arrived early and everybody knows he likes a beer, so I thought it would be a great way to get Walcot Street some publicity and show off the Bell as a great example of a community coming together.

"We walked up he road and I introduced him to some of the small businesses, who chatted to him about the problems they are having.

"Then we went to the pub, where the staff were fine but Jamie said it was not appropriate."

The Bell – a favourite with Bath musicians – was saved from closure after residents and regulars raised £500,000 in a campaign backed by Peter Gabriel, Midge Ure and Robert Plant.

During an interview for the BBC, Bell regular Gary is seen walking behind Mr Farage making an obscene gesture with his hand - nicknamed the Farage Wave - before walking into the pub.

A 40 second clip of the interview has now been posted on YouTube and watched by 2,799 people.

After being inundated with requests to buy Gary a pint staff at The Bell have set up a PayPal account which has so far raise £250.

On its website the pub said: “Due to popular demand we have set up a PayPal donation page for the originator of the Farage Wave.”

Wouldn't we need to know where those 3000 Romanians/Bulgarians went after deciding to no longer work here? If they went to another country to work, then cool. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but that article doesn't specify where they went, so it could well be that there are 3000 dudes sat on their arse claiming various benefits, which would play right into UKIP's hands

The ONS figures are available

http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/dcp171778_361188.pdf

Employment rates have stayed pretty much the same during the corresponding time so it doesn't look like it's a transfer of working to non working
