@5ohhwhat: track is sounding good thus far, I think it needs another bassline/melody because it gets too repetitive as it is with just lfo automation. The classic scifi pitch sweep synth rocks, maybe try automating a send to a delay on it to get more atmosphere at some points. Also, I think the high end of the bass needs a little less reverb, or maybe just tighten up the decay time and filter the reverb return. Also, maybe more drum variations, particularly with the hats/shaker. Great foundation for a track though, so keep going with this one.
@naphta: Really like the dark subdued tone of this track. I like the way it progresses and the sound choices are really good, but I think it needs more melodic variation, you can only hear the same 4 notes in a row for so long before it gets boring. For me the sample in the intro is a little too reminiscent of Meat Beat Manifesto's " Never Acid Again", maybe just keep the last bit where she says "and I dropped it". Production is great tho, defintaly post when this track is done.
here is something I'm working on at the moment:
http://files.getdropbox.com/u/518773/01%20Breath.mp3
the mix still needs some work as it gets a bit crowded in the middle. Also, I dont have a sub at home, so Im not sure how my low end translates to other peoples systems...any comments on the sub level?

I would get rid of the Spanish guitar intro.. IMO, it has nothing to do with the tune. but maybe that's what you were going for. the rest is cool though. you could maybe make the snare drum cut thru more as well.

My tune is nearly finshed, is called Your Not Alone. There is a vocal version and Instrumenal.
Would like to know which people prefer, and any feedback on anything else in the tune would be great.
Plus anyone wanting a 320 of the final version, just ask.

psychological-i like the second part of the track, with the percussions and up-and-down-pitching bass, i dont really dig the wobble, maybe its about the resonance, but the part with that sleepy bass is really cool.
retto- i couldnt play you tunes from some reason, maybe my computer's fucked, maybe you got a problem on your page, sorry anyway.
sooooooooooo i'm working on a new tune, and i got some mixed opinions about it , i really like it though, anyway please check out and tell me what you think.(it's still only a sketch, not finished or mixed yet)

hmm usually it takes me about 2-3 days 1-2 hours a day to make a tune, then on the weekend i finish it.. this one was pretty exceptional cuz it started as something totally different and ive been re-creating it for almost a week.. then again the version you heard has been changed again today so i guess i can only ask you to check the finished version when its done

reignz-im listening through a mac at the moment so i'm not really sure but i think you need a bigger kick too+to kick the volume of it up.
retto-i managed to check you tune, great stuff! i like it.
i disliked the vocoder \vocal version though, from a few reasons.
one, the vocoder's sound is annoying
2. this kind of effect is usually anoying anyway and imo not very dubstep-connected.
good stuff though

Cool track. Love the chiptune-y sounds in this and I definitely liked the vocals. More than anything just wanted to say that the programming on this is really ace - nice one!

Of to a good start, this has a ton of potential.
One thing I was thinking, since the introduction has the wobble-y ness - maybe after the drop, you had less wobbles. For example only the first bar of a 4 bar pattern is wobble-y.
Also, I feel like the bass is bigger in the intro parts, than the bass that comes in - maybe use the same bass sound through out?

WORK IN PROGRESS:
http://www.divshare.com/download/7717871-e13
Not quite Dubstep, more Detroit Techno in the Red Planet/Martian vein mixed with UK Funky, but I would love some feedback specifically on n the arrangement/structure, sounds, vibe, good or wack, etc before I get to work on finishing and then mixing this. The reason I am trying to get feedback on this now is that I am going to experiment with bouncing some of my stems to tape and then back into Ableton so I wanted to get the arrangement correct before doing that.
I looking for all feedback, good and bad as I am trying to improve and learn more.
Thank you in advance.
PS: If you would like feedback on one of your songs please let me know.

here's something I've been working on for the past day or so. I'm not too sure about the drumbeat in it, I think it's a little stiff. The structure of the tune is definitely going to change also. please listen and let me know what you think, thanks in advance!

songs sounding good, man. the only problem that I have with it is how long it starts to get going. maybe that's what you're going for, but I was getting bored pretty quickly. the sounds and everything are slammin' though.

Claps could use reverb/delay imo not through out the whole song though, enjoy the vibe of the track everything flows together, would like to hear some dub excerpts in there as well.
Good production, cheers!
