Drive
Liked it, well directed although the plot went from being scenic to hectic a little too quick. Sick OST also.
Chronicle
Bros spunking over Akira, let down.

I'd say this is perfect for you (although you may not get some of the movie references, but that doesn't matter too much)
Watched it last night and it had me in stitches. Just a bit of fun.
For what it is 7/10

Quest for fire 9/10
Epic in the truest sense of the word. Thought it would be dragging and slow, but it does grasp your attention quite easily. Ace story and thought provoking as well.

My girlfriend suggested watching it and i was pleasantly surprised by it, good for when you just want something easy.cityzen wrote:Tuck and Dale vs Evilscattybeanhead wrote:decent light hearted film that is actually funny but i dont have to think about too much? really bored and know very little about films...

The Immortals
Not terrible, not amazing.
It was worth the watch and kept me fairly entertained through out.
I didn`t say WTF at the end which is good imo.
I hate it when movies just abruptly end with no point what so ever.
Like girl with the dragon tattoo, such a kack ending.

The police briefing scene fucking kills it

Battle Royale was pretty good. All a bit silly but I guess that's what was good about it, and seeing a young boys neck explode is always enjoyable.
About to watch Primal Fear, with good old Edward Norton.

Definitely not a film for the impatient but i thought it was great.
There isn't much action if any but the dialogue, characters and cinematography will keep you engrossed.

Got around to watching Troll Hunter, I fucking loved this movie.
I love how the trolls struck the perfect balance between what you think based on fairy tells and actual realism. Also loved that they didn't hold back on actually showing the trolls, different then how a lot of shaky cam/found footage films work.

Watched this on iPlayer last night. Bloody hell.
Trailer is quite cheesey and doesn't do the film justice.
I only really watch documentaries and this had to be one of the saddest, most brutal films i have ever seen. It just depressed me when it was over. Above all, it was compelling and even coming from an Asian background where every family member hates the other, blood feuds like that are just astounding.
While most of it was *gasp* sort of stuff, the 80s WWF promo videos they send to each other in order to call them out are toooo jokes.
8/10 Recommended. Watch it on BBC iPlayer for the next 9 days.
