Wait, you can drink beers during the game at Wembley?!
No, only away from the stands at half time... hence people being late back to their seats.
Ahhh, that makes more sense. The few stadiums I've been to in Scotland they don't even serve alcohol besides hospitality, and even then I'm sure you're not allowed a drink at half time!

^Of course that's always an option
Doesn't really bother me anyway, don't really like being hammered at the game, few pints before it, but otherwise I'd be pissing every 2 minutes and wouldn't really concentrate on the game. Get smashed after the game!

At least Everton have got to entertain teams from Manchester twice, but yeah... not confident. Up the Eagles tomorrow!

Arsenal missing the CL could do them a favour. I'd prefer them to qualify over Everton but reckon Everton should do enough despite having to face Mancs twice.

This. I was talking about this to a mate a while back but in terms of United missing out on CL and I said it could mean they'll be out of it for a while.. not only is it a huge blow financially (especially now BT sport have paid a ridiculous amount for TV rights) but players will be more incline to move away and it'll be harder to attract decent players. For me falling out of Europe is like getting relegated, sometimes you can bounce back instantly if you can hold on to your players and still attract new ones but if you can't it could mean falling out for a while or worse.
Arsenal don't really target big names though so that shouldn't be much of a problem but considering they're the team who operates most like a business in the Prem the financial blow could have a knock on effect that'll last years. Little or no budget could put off potential new managers as well, if they decide to replace Wenger.

We made CL in 2009 it was the last time we did. We also didn't have 16 years consistently qualifying for it and 9 years of not winning anything. It may do Arsenal good to realise there's football beyond the CL and it's good to win stuff from time to time. Ironic that you'll probably win the FA Cup.

I think it's pretty obvious what kind of performance we're going to see today, most of the players looked knackered on staurday. Probably be one of those games where we need West Ham to score first before we wake up

if we don't make cl we won't sign the striker we need. thats why tottenham spent 100 mill on players and have done fuck all. they couldn't attract cl quality players

Lamela and Soldado would have been considered CL standard prior to them signing for spurs and being in the CL didn't help you nail Higuain.

We didnt sign Higuain because the club was deluded into thinking they could get Suarez instead

I doubt that tbh. And Liverpool managed to sign Suarez while out of the CL. You have a wage structure that may hurt you and a manager that doesn't seem to want to do the business you need to do. You have money though and when it matters that's all that matters

suarez when he came to liverpool =/= suarez now. came from ajax and he made it clear that he wanted to play in the premier league
do u actually think not being in the cl won't have a negative impact on a club
the best players are ambitious
i have no doubt in my mind that if we weren't in the CL there's no way we'd have signed ozil for example

He was a pretty well known player like he'd been getting talked about for a while. It will hurt you but it wont hurt so much in year 1 that you can't recover from it quickly enough, it's not going to get any easier and the implications next year are even more significant given the increase in CL money. If it reminds Arsenal they can't take CL for granted and reminds Arsene that winning stuff is important and no matter how dressed up there's no cups for 4th then maybe it helps you.

You have to add the effect of the media when Arsenal doesn't make cl and they get their first proper excuse to go for Wenger even moreso than previously. It's not only a pr disaster it's actual levity. The arsenal boards would have to appease their fans in a new way entirely and that will probably cost two Øzils now.
