I think that gta iv is shit too
Thhe good thing of old gta is that the 90% of the missions where about doing cool things instead of just shooting ofr driving wich ends being boring and this one looks like dope, very eclectic with 3 charactrs that can develope a good story

arma 3 is hardly a 'sandbox' lol (although i understand it can have similar functions/appeals)
comparing the two was pretty silly tho

open world =/= sandbox
(arma 3 is sitll probs closer than the 'old rpgs' someone mentioned above cause it gives u tools/mission creation stuff)
i feel like arma is too military/simulation focused to be classed otherwise

eh someone doesn't know about the modding community ArmA is a huge sandbox and it even gives you the tools to craft what you want

ye sorry i kinda followed up my point in the post below which you must have missed.. the focus of the arma series vs the gta series is too different to compare them as 'sandbox' games (same goes for the rpgs of the 90s as someone else had brought up)
edit: the post i was referring to

IMO, the only other open world sandbox game that comes anywhere close to the caliber of GTA is just cause 2, but you cant really compare them, still.

I keep getting to the checkout page with this and FIFA '14 in my basket and having a pang of guilt because I should really be conserving funds for moving flat.

I've been doing it about every 2 hours since last Wednesday... and the price has now gone up a fucking fiver on both of them which makes me feel even more stupid.
