Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
is the only way to get the download code to order it from surus? because it's already sold out there
if I order it from chemical or redeye, probably not right? Guess I'll be shelling out for the digital album too
they should really include a digital download code with the vinyl...there wouldnt be a problem with that would there? we're already paying more than we would for digital...

but only if ordered from the brownwood site (where it's sold out)? or everywhere?

Nah, presume it's everywhere dude.Sonika wrote:Marcus wrote:They are including a digital download code with the vinyl version.Sonika wrote:is the only way to get the download code to order it from surus? because it's already sold out thereif I order it from chemical or redeye, probably not right? Usually if there's a free download just from Surus, you'll see it in your order history (and it becomes available when released), whereas this has a voucher, so yeah, presume it will come with the box set wherever you get it.

NICE
I think all labels should so that always - I don't see any problem with it - it's a bit unfair to expect your customers to buy it twice imo

Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
It happens quite a lot actually. I've bought loads of records from my local that came with a digital download voucher. Some from Redeye too.
Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
Lo Dubs does it a lot - I haven't come across any other records that do it though
Re: Mala working on Cuban album...

Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
Jon AD is super nice
have you ever met him signals?
Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
Yep, if the label's doing digital release too, it would be nice to get a free download with the wax too, not exactly asking for much!Sonika wrote:NICE

Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
copped. Wont be opening it until like August next year tho. Sent it to my home for when I return to the UK.
Hopefully there is a digital just so I can listen!

Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
but i swear, it has to be the quality of the vinyl. I listen to the VIP, my speakers can handle the weight, everything sounds crisp. I play original Eyez, same volume same preset, and the speakers start sounding a little fuzzy when the bass kicks...1point5 wrote:Well they are two different tracks, I expect Mala probably amended parts of the mix in Eyez for the VIP. I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone
Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
the point is, it's not the fact that it's a white label. could be a number of things, from the pressing, the way mala produced it, etc-TraX- wrote:but i swear, it has to be the quality of the vinyl. Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
I agree that free digital downloads with the purchase of the record should be the standard.
Not only does it make sense, but I'd assume that it helps vinyl sales as well, and for those record labels who are passionate about vinyl, that could only be in their favor.

Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
Not necessarily, as it makes filesharing mp3s of vinyl-only releases a lot easier, probably one of the reasons some labels are vinyl only in the first place. But I agree with you, it should be the standard if there's a digital release available as wellCornbreadddd wrote: Not only does it make sense, but I'd assume that it helps vinyl sales as well, and for those record labels who are passionate about vinyl, that could only be in their favor.

That's actually a good point, didn't think of that.1point5 wrote:Not necessarily, as it makes filesharing mp3s of vinyl-only releases a lot easier, probably one of the reasons some labels are vinyl only in the first place. But wouldn't that only be the case with vinyl only releases? With a release that is in both formats, I wouldn't really make much of a difference because the mp3 would already be circulating anyhow. But I can definitely see that making sense if a release is vinyl only.
Re: Mala working on Cuban album...
Vinyl only releases get mp3s fileshared anyway. All it takes is one person to rip it off the vinyl. They may as well give a digital copy along with it rather than expecting people to rip their vinyl for a digital copy.Cornbreadddd wrote:That's actually a good point, didn't think of that.1point5 wrote:Not necessarily, as it makes filesharing mp3s of vinyl-only releases a lot easier, probably one of the reasons some labels are vinyl only in the first place.
