If the download code comes on a voucher included in the boxset then most likely from the Brownswood site itself.
thank you brother

is the only way to get the download code to order it from surus? because it's already sold out there

if I order it from chemical or redeye, probably not right? Guess I'll be shelling out for the digital album too
they should really include a digital download code with the vinyl...there wouldnt be a problem with that would there? we're already paying more than we would for digital...

Nah, presume it's everywhere dude.
Usually if there's a free download just from Surus, you'll see it in your order history (and it becomes available when released), whereas this has a voucher, so yeah, presume it will come with the box set wherever you get it.

NICE
I think all labels should so that always - I don't see any problem with it - it's a bit unfair to expect your customers to buy it twice imo

It happens quite a lot actually. I've bought loads of records from my local that came with a digital download voucher. Some from Redeye too.

Lo Dubs does it a lot - I haven't come across any other records that do it though

Yep, if the label's doing digital release too, it would be nice to get a free download with the wax too, not exactly asking for much!

Well they are two different tracks, I expect Mala probably amended parts of the mix in Eyez for the VIP. I doubt the actual vinyl has anything to do with it, unless your Return II Space disc is worn out
but i swear, it has to be the quality of the vinyl. I listen to the VIP, my speakers can handle the weight, everything sounds crisp. I play original Eyez, same volume same preset, and the speakers start sounding a little fuzzy when the bass kicks...

the point is, it's not the fact that it's a white label. could be a number of things, from the pressing, the way mala produced it, etc

well it sounds like your return ii space record is just a little worn...

I agree that free digital downloads with the purchase of the record should be the standard.
Not only does it make sense, but I'd assume that it helps vinyl sales as well, and for those record labels who are passionate about vinyl, that could only be in their favor.

Not necessarily, as it makes filesharing mp3s of vinyl-only releases a lot easier, probably one of the reasons some labels are vinyl only in the first place. But I agree with you, it should be the standard if there's a digital release available as well

That's actually a good point, didn't think of that.
But wouldn't that only be the case with vinyl only releases? With a release that is in both formats, I wouldn't really make much of a difference because the mp3 would already be circulating anyhow. But I can definitely see that making sense if a release is vinyl only.

Vinyl only releases get mp3s fileshared anyway. All it takes is one person to rip it off the vinyl. They may as well give a digital copy along with it rather than expecting people to rip their vinyl for a digital copy.
