Ive never played the original games so I couldnt say but Ive put like 15 hours into so far and its fun as hell.

Just bought Deus Ex: HR for 8 euros and the new Batman for 20. That should keep me occupied until the Dark Souls DLC arrives on the consoles.

it's best to look at it as sharing the same setting and being a TBS, but that's about the only real comparison, loads of stuff changed, but it's a good game (and better than those shit sequels post apocalypse that had the x-com name on em)

tis very good. its incredibly similar to bioshock. to me it feels like an exact cross between thief and bioshock. its the gameplay and ui of bioshock with a similar world and grittiness to thief. about 5 hours in, gonna take this game very slow so theres no gap between this and AC3

Xcom seems alright so far. Still getting used to the camera movement and use of abilities but it seems fairly similar to the original. Doesn't seem quite as creepy as the original despite the better and more atmospheric graphics. It's nice that my guys can actually shoot down aliens though.

Just downloaded Cry of Fear, a HL1 total conversion mod, and I am happy to report that it is fairly scary

Verdict on it so far?

Not a particular fan of the franchise or even a xbox owner, but as a heads up Halo 4 has leaked, so those who care spoilers are already going about.

its a very good game but its far, far too short for me. people are saying 'if you finished it in seven hours you played it wrong' but ive finished most missions with no kills and without being seen once. i suppose its a game youre supposed to play through quite a few times to experience everything. id definitely recommend it as a purchase regardless. some stunning visuals and the gameplay is fun and very rewarding. the story is pretty engaging aswell. 8/10 from me

finished fallout 3 , great game. gonna be finishing up half life 2 / and the rest of the 2 episodes then going to pick at random of games i had been suggested and go to gamestop to purchase 'em.

Finally gotten around to playing Mass Effect 1 for the first time, having a blast.
