I've got a microkorg, and a microsampler, had an er-1 and an ea-1 both sadly stolen. I could really use both of those right now.

I'd really really like a mono/poly if we're blowing doors. I want all their new little devices. Set up a studio for my daughter's guinea pigs.

One guinea pig walking around on the keys, the other runs around in a wheel that modulates the filter cutoff. Could do this all day.. how many guinea pigs does your daughter have?

Currently loving my setup. Getting a lot of great sounds. But I really want a fun delay pedal/unit again. Except of course all the ones I want are 200-300USD.

Then zosomagic's writers block thread got me all hot on SP404 again...

To be honest I have had buyers remorse for everything I have bought - except my Event 2030 monitors, holy fuck I love them, they bring me pleasure everyday.

If someone could tell me how to get rid of the massive amounts of noise on my old PSS 2-op FM synth I would use that tho - the zipper noise when you change parameters is cool as.

"guitar pedal"?
That thing's more of a footstool than a pedal.

Man I really want that.

What could be more suitable for techno than a massive soviet tape delay/fuzz unit that looks like it should be part of some military machinery instead of making music? haha. Look up a video and it seems pretty cool

So, my lovely old alesis XTC has died a death, rip fallen soljah etc...

So im lusting after a new reverb. Got to say the Strymon stuff sounds amazing, big sky, wow, pricey as fuck but amazing.... other contenders include old lexicons (mpx550s), roland srv330, blue skys are getting ditched now the big skys out.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Lexicon MX series, EHX Cathedral, or maybe even the Zoom MS-70CDR...I just ordered one...saw some videos comparing it to Strymon reverbs and some others...it sounded pretty damn close to my ears...

You are fucking incorrigible. :a:

This is kind of stupid, but the sp404sx has an interesting verb, it is not at all highly configurable, but it does have something to it, AND then you have 28 other fx, and sampling and what not...

Yea sorry I forgot I have to run all my gear purchases past you for approval now.

EDIT: I won't erase this as I stand by my snarky comment, but I really don't appreciate being called out in the GEAR LUST thread over a fucking hundred dollar guitar pedal. I respect you a lot Nowasj, but it was a case of wrong place, wrong time, I personally didn't find any humor in the comment today... :Q:

am i being stupid, or are there no demos whatsoever on their own site? strymon are great for doing demos. insane.

yeah let us know how it is. even the cheap stiuff is lightyears ahead of the old crap. lexicon mxp1s go for like £40.... got to be worth a punt.

just bought another 303 clone though, so no spendy strymonesque levels of outlay. ive got an amazing sound out of just the dynacord vrs23, the boss delay and the quadraverb. chea0n stuff can always be made to sound good, even if righ in the background.

on a related note, people who keep putting insanley high reserves on 80s crap and waste everyones time should go for a nice long sit down in the road.

Yeah there's a few people on ebay tryna sell shit for ridiculous prices. There's this infamous "Flower pot guy" who buys up a bunch of gear and then relists them all for crazy prices. He just monopolizes whatever gear's hot at the moment. I'm sure someone's also seen that tube amp that's like 80 grand ahah. I always wonder if they've ever sold even a single one. It looks like some work in progress shit you'd see on someone's workbench.

Image

Looks high end as fuck doesn't it.

Always comes up when you search for HD600 or other high end headphones. Dude took the Monster business plan to the extreme. People with expensive gear are willing to spend more money on peripherals but not that much.

@paradigm x: Yea...I don't see any demos on their website...I guess we are just supposed to know and trust Lexicon will be amazing??? I hear most of the algorithms for the reverbs are well known ones. I know a few people who own 'em and love 'em. But that means fuck all...I know people who are in love with some reverbs (high and low dollar) that I can't stand the sound of...ever... I just opened the packaging for the Zoom pedal, but unfortunately I have some writing to do for one of my jobs, but I will report back with sound demos. I bought it specifically for the MicroBrute so I will have to record some noodling.

@SunkLo: LOL ...the Flower Pot Guy...there is a hilarious thread on GearSlutz where people absolutely rage out on that guy. I guess if you look through the "completed auctions" he actually does sell stuff quite often. Apparently there are people that have very massive disposable incomes that just don't give a fuck. I haven't seen the 80K tube amp...but I will be looking : )
