Perfect Sunday night film.
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
Fucking awful.
Always thought the original Star Trek stuff was stupid, but this was really taking the piss.
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
well theres part of the problem, lol. I was surprised at how decent the movie was actually, couldve sucked a lot more.vishes wrote:Always thought the original Star Trek stuff was stupid...

Ditto, I think there is only one episode of the original Star Trek that I think is actually good ("Balance Of Terror") but properly enjoyed the film reboot.spire wrote:I was surprised at how decent the movie was actually
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
Yeah I guess you're right, it was prety much just impossible for me to like the film because I've never liked the series. But my dad's a big star trek fan and he asked me to watch it with him so I did.
Anyway, as I'm not really familiar with the original series I kinda got the feeling that this film turned out to be just another one of those bad Hollywood action movies. That's just what it seemed like to me. But maybe it's a good film to people that actually like the series and are familiar with the whole story and all.

No, definitely not. And no, I don't particularly like the Transformer movies either.spire wrote:So you woudnt put it any better than stuff like Transformers?
Anyway, I just watched Blade Runner for the first time.

After hearing and reading so many positive things aobut it over the years my expectations were quite high, but I have to say that it definitely lived up to them. What a great film.

Yeahh that scene in particular was so fucking good.
Also that one somewhat the beginning with "Fiery the angels fell." Vex'd used that sample in Thunder, didn't they?

Cypher (2002)

Bored unemployed bloke takes a job in corporate espionage and gradually becomes the person he's pretending to me. Trippy neo-noir thriller with Jeremy Northam and, bizarrely, Lucy Liu. Got a Dark City/Gattaca vibe to it.
