If I were to change a 320 into a .wav with itunes would it still be good quality for djing?

you won't lose quality transcoding from a lossy format to a lossless one, but you wont gain any either. there will still only be 320 kilobits of information being read every second

Some of my mates who are progressive/trance DJs use it quite a bit from what I know.

Bit too broad a couple of labels there...I wouldn't say it's got much for use for brostep/clownstep tracks, but if you were busting out a set of late 90s Concord Dawn/John B classics they're might be a use.
All depends on the style of track you're playing more than the genre.

How would it be used with John B tracks? I find it makes such a drastic change to the sound whenever i use it, even slightly. its just too much

Pretty much, yeah.
But like anything where you're fucking with the key/BPM/pitch etc, do it too much and it'll sound proper pony.

Locks the key of the tune that you're playing so you can adjust the pitch without it going all chipmunk on you.

ah ok, i always thought if someone used Mixedinkey and then changed the pitch to mix it would be pointless, didn't realise that was a feature. Is it on Traktor controllers and stuff?
