Deja Vu - interesting premise, thought it was done relatively well up until a point, last 15mins were shite though. Good car chase scene.
Wanted - just as shit as I remembered it, fell asleep toward the end.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows - second time watching it, better this time as I didn't have Spanish language subtitles all over the place. Loved it, made me laugh my arse off for most of it.
Haywire - good film, good story, great supporting cast, good fight scenes, but Gina Carano cannot act to save her life. Whole film is let down massively but how shit she is when she's not kicking someone in the face.

Avengers...was good fun, a bit overhyped though.

About Schmidt - Fantastic acting by both Jack Nicholson and Kathy Bates, the rest of the cast were quite good as well. Real feelings of sympathy towards Schmidt, transitions between comedy and drama effortlessly.
Babel - Amazing, cinematography was great. Managed to tell four separate stories in the 2 hours, each very unique and interesting. Acting was superb, the child actors were surprisingly good.

How did you get passed it

Seriously, a domestic cat would be better for the job.

Fight sequences were entertaining, and the supporting cast was all quality. Just a shame the lead was shit.

Can anyone recommend any recent and/or cult classic comedies? I'm really into the dark comedies that wes anderson makes, but havn't seen any good ones and need a break from the gut wrenchers I've dug up in this thread (irreversible, shieeeeet..)

Bruce Parry - Tribe
Not a film, but have been smashing through this the last couple of nights. Saw one yesterday where he takes some mad hallucinagenic root with some Gambonese tribesman in the Congo basin rainforest, and stays up for 4 days tripping his balls off before having to discuss what he's seen in private with the local shamen. Man looks genuinely terrified and changed when we comes out the other side, starts chatting about his vision revealed someone that he had wronged earlier in his life and he needed to make amends.

Was very skeptical going in, but holy fuck, it was amazing.
A unicorn makes a cameo.
yes, got round to watching this myself and it is the best thing I've seen this year so far, who would've thought that such a generic title would lead to one of the best horror movies out there

Ayahuasca or Ibogaine, I`m not sure which one he took.
Great show though.
He seems awesomely objective.

Watched all of them, the first one is still one of the best movies ever.
Alien b2b Aliens. First time watching these, both were excellent (tho the first one had too little alien in it and the second one had too much)
Didn't like this. Too unrealistic imo.
Had a 7.0 score on imdb, expected a decent movie. It wasn't. (where did the green-four-hand-fellows get those ships at the end?)

Thinking about Dancer in the dark or Who's afraid of virginia woolf, anyone seen either of those ?

So cool. I'm claustrophobic and afraid of deep water though
Think that's somehow why I liked it, watching U571 next.
Instantly intrigued by submarines now, which is weird because I've been in one once and talked
to a veteran who was a submarine commander a few years ago.

Certainly very informative, although there wasn't a lot of stuff I didn't already know it was very well put together.
I liked it a lot actually, and will probably be recommending it to people.

Yeah The Union is pretty great, and entertaining which is a good way to get antis to sit through it.
@Wub, if it's the one I'm thinking of it's ayahuasca. They snort it through bamboo? Then Bruce learns to chant in their language pretty quickly when he's tripping? He's done a few of these though.

Day Night Day Night
Great little film. Left me with more questions than answers which I like. Pretty ambiguous plot... beginning, middle, and end. Could be about several things. It had a Dogme 95 feel.
