‘Settle The Score’ is a 2 track release from Hot Mess burning up with cross styles of Dubstep and Electro Crunk. ‘Settle the Score’ starts out fresh and menacing, with glorious synths, shouting vocals, and midrange fluctuating heavy bass ushered by upbeat kicks and snares. ‘Hot Bot’ is a dance floor smasher with crunchy beats, vociferous synths and basslines wobbling and scaling with playful mechanical impact and tasteful distortion. Hurtdeer is a highly promising producer working on the fringes of the Dubstep scene, and a key mover and shaker in the Mothers Against Noise collective. Following on from the two-track 'Vasopressin/Gnomon' release on the Twenty/Twelve netlabel earlier this year, 'Junta' (released on Belfast's respected Acroplane netlabel) sees him consolidate a wide range of influences - from Acid and IDM through to Breakcore and Glitch-Hop - into seven strikingly original takes on the Dubstep template.
Mothers Against Noise is a London-based collective of Producers, DJs and Graphic Designers peddling a distinctive brew of Dubstep, Jungle and Breakcore. Our chief aim is to put dark atmospheres and a bass’n’breaks mentality back where they belong; the London club scene.
