Re: The SNH Football thread
City will win it as the best in the league and I agree that Aguero is a brilliant player but they're better prepared than anyone else for his absence.
I'm not going to belittle City's achievement because of the money they've spent, it doesn't always guarantee success and Liverpool have spent fucking awfully in the main over the last 25 years so we need to be looking at our own transfer policy rather than sniffly looking at City's.

If you cant handle the banter.......scspkr99 wrote:Gutted but still proud of a lot of what Liverpool have done this season.
Still it's always reassuring to catch the tone here and be referred to as a tnuc eh rokonin.
Re: The SNH Football thread
For a player as incredibly talented as Aguero i still reckon he's underrated.
Arguably the top striker in the world at his best. Can't think of anyone other than Messi/Suarez ott my head who i'd rather have up top. (discounting injuries & racism ofc)

Re: The SNH Football thread
which is at least an example of banter, shit banter mind but it's a step up from calling me a tnuc
Re: The SNH Football thread
He is good but like Messi he gets the best service from someone like Silva. Not that I want to take anything away from Aguero but someone like Lewandowski, Cavani (who has had a similar season) or Falcao will decide games time and time again, Aguero despite scoring important goals, wouldn't get three pass Bayern or Chelsea. Not yet anyway. But a ridiculous finisher no doubt, like Romario or something.Johoosh wrote:For a player as incredibly talented as Aguero i still reckon he's underrated.

Re: The SNH Football thread
Who referred to Cavani as possibly the best striker in the world before PSG Chelsea?
Re: The SNH Football thread
He's one of those players that must save all his worldy performances for when I'm not watching, I never see anything that great from himscspkr99 wrote:Who referred to Cavani as possibly the best striker in the world before PSG Chelsea?

Re: The SNH Football thread
nor me, the occasional moment but nothing to justify the hype
Re: The SNH Football thread
I know he is prettier Southstar but this looks to me like some premier league bias tbh.
Cavani has looked uncomfortable for psg in cl but he has scored the same number of goals as Aguero in a worse league but from a winger position and as the second choice, so in my book that's at least equal. But yeah he hasn't lived up completely to the napoli days where he was basicly the new Batistuta, who's arguably the best attacker the serie a has ever seen.
Lewandowski is seriously on another level, the rest we can agree on at times because Falcao has probably had his best period already.
*Edit* i like dortmund too much maybe

So we are all underestimating Radamel but it's probably because it looks so easy when he scores and he doesn't celebrate a lot. I don't know.

Re: The SNH Football thread
I think Cavanis a bag of shit, watched him quite a bit this season. Maybe because hes been pushed out wide but even with Ibrah injured and he plays up top hes been shocking. Whenever Lucas Moura has come on for him hes looked 80x the player Cavani has.
He should probably think about moving clubs cause it doesn't seem like its his ability, seems more mental.. his decision making has been on par with Ramires this year. Utter crock of.

Falcao didn't exactly make the best career choice going to Monaco...
Although I'm sure his accountant disagrees

Re: The SNH Football thread
Its ridiculous to say that Muncey.
Not least with all the points I already made
-with him playing out of position,
-having a crazy price tag on his head in a weird club with little experience in dealing with superstars like Ibra,
- being measured against Ibra, who's had the best season of his career, in a career where his presence is a league title guarantee every single year!!!!
(apart from milan + the fact that they want to get the most out of his last years )
so basicly you can't question Ibras position but they need a sub
and thats where Cavani shows his class by scoring in every second match.
There's just not been a product yet.
It's a farcical club to say the least though.
Lucas will even struggle to make Brazil but I hope he will because he's still unique in his runs and the power he has in a kick (close to R. Carlos actually!).

But I know you are basing it all on CL, because I agree in that Lucas has looked good comming on, but there's absolutely no question that he's the most dissapointing 'pop'-player psg has bought into.Paris Saint-Germain 29 (16)
