I think Mala (from his interviews) only played/made the basslines - everything else is sampled from what the musicians played (and he didn't give them sheet music or anything)

Ah, haven't done much listening to it to be fair, assumed he's programmed the drums as well.

From what i gather he used large chunks of recorded drums (for authentic Cuban rhythmzzz), but i'm betting he did a lot of editing & programmed the kicks n snares etc.

I 'liked' the album, But live it's phenomenal - if you get the opportunity do check it out even if you are not a fan of the album.

Yeah, I'm not particularly fussed about the album, but I'd like to see it live.

Thing that's great about the album is it's one of the few recent dubstep releases that's actually pushed the boundaries of the genre. Plus it stays true to dubstep's roots while also having the ability to bring in a wider audience.
