Its pretty bad. With drug cocktails and the like, people are living for longer amounts of time with it but....its still a pretty bad situation. In the US, black women are being hit hard, with AIDS now being the number one reason for death among black women age 25-40. 2/3rds of new AIDS/HIV cases in the US among women are black women. Poverty and lack of education are still decimating populations....but no one seems to care anymore.
Course people care, its just that some people are oblivious to the fact that it offends people. I bet half of the people that speak a bad name of AIDS donate money to Cancer and AIDS research. Its just pretty ironic and heartless, to say the least.

i wish AIDS were somehow linked to male impotence. I'd like to see the Viagra effort get up on some of this.

i'm not disagreeing with you at all belle - i totally agree... it's a big complicated issue with a lot of factors involved and it's a very difficult battle to fight from many levels.
i was just getting fed up with the fact that individual people for some reason find it funny... out to blizz for listening
