Yeah, I want more money, and someone contacted me trying to reruit analysts. If things go really well I might be looking at a £10k salary increase. We'll see.gwa wrote:Looking for a change in work?
For sure! Are you having any joy on the employment side of things?gwa wrote:Do it man, 10K more is alot better than whatever you were on ha.
Good news about the US mate, nice one. I work as a fraud risk analyst, but the move will be to the credit risk analysis department of another bank. I use various computer systems to look for patterns in behaviour, and try to identify areas where savings can be made thorugh reducing bad debt or fraud losses. It really is about as fun as it sounds.gwa wrote:Whats this 10k wage rise job then?
lol yeah man that'd be sweet. Not sure how I ended up doing this really. I finished my degree in zoology at Leeds, then came to the call centre here as a 'filler' job, lol. I was there for 18 months then applied internally to get to a separate part of the business in analysis, just to give it a go really (and it was for more money). 18 months further down the line, here I am!!!gwa wrote:Im happy, just waiting for flights to come through. Plus my flight stops at the dam first! Ha imagen whilst i was waiting for my flights i sneaked out for a jamba that would be amazing. Well its not exactly a basic job, how did you go down that route of career?
It's about £23k, something like that, at the moment. If I get this job, then I'll be leaving FD, which is a bit of a shame cos in the main, it is a very good place to work. I'd like to get into some zoological in the future, but for now I want to make that money.gwa wrote:What is your current wage if you dont mind me asking? Would you still be working at FD? But thats sick man, UNI is abit of a shambles at times, do you not want to go into zoology at all then?
How old are you? 23? 24? 25?kins83 wrote:It's about £23k, something like that, at the moment. Cheers! Yeah, seeing as it represents such a large chunk of your life, it's all about finding a job that you don't hate! Sounds like you're one of the lucky ones!LEQ wrote:Good luck Kins, massive pay rise = win, loving my new job at the mo.
Cheers dude. Just made it to the to the telephone interview stage now. Scary.deamonds wrote:congrats LEQ & Kins!!
Yeah it's a bit of a wierd one. I can understand it for a call centre job, but aside from that, it seems like an unnecessary step between applying and final interview. Let's just hope I don't fuck it up.deamonds wrote:@ kins, i never see the point of telephone int. other than if there is loads of people applying for the job, seems pretty impersonal to me...
