Yeah, I want more money, and someone contacted me trying to reruit analysts. If things go really well I might be looking at a £10k salary increase. We'll see.

Errr its baaaaaare complicated. I was meant to go to america for 3 months on the 14th of july, then it got cancled too "problems". So i thought ah I'll get a job and save up for uni. Had that phone interview with First Direct and then went through a glum patch. Went to an agency, applied for a few more places...now looking towards admin work. Then I get a phone call last saturday saying, "COME BACK TO AMERICA, WE WILL CHANGE YOUR FLIGHTS" and I'm aparently going on the 11th till 16th of october. So no need for a job atm heh. I'll be looking when i get back though. Whats this 10k wage rise job then?

Good news about the US mate, nice one. I work as a fraud risk analyst, but the move will be to the credit risk analysis department of another bank. I use various computer systems to look for patterns in behaviour, and try to identify areas where savings can be made thorugh reducing bad debt or fraud losses. It really is about as fun as it sounds.

lol yeah man that'd be sweet. Not sure how I ended up doing this really. I finished my degree in zoology at Leeds, then came to the call centre here as a 'filler' job, lol. I was there for 18 months then applied internally to get to a separate part of the business in analysis, just to give it a go really (and it was for more money). 18 months further down the line, here I am!!!

What is your current wage if you dont mind me asking? Would you still be working at FD? But thats sick man, UNI is abit of a shambles at times, do you not want to go into zoology at all then?

It's about £23k, something like that, at the moment. If I get this job, then I'll be leaving FD, which is a bit of a shame cos in the main, it is a very good place to work. I'd like to get into some zoological in the future, but for now I want to make that money.

Yeah it's a bit of a wierd one. I can understand it for a call centre job, but aside from that, it seems like an unnecessary step between applying and final interview. Let's just hope I don't fuck it up.
