because i live next to the stadium and the team is an active part of my local community. the english team has little to do with my local community when most of my neighbors support turkey or ghana lol.
my team (during the season) play every other week or more in the community i live in. i go to games home and away with my mates. when i dont go to games i watch them in the pub with mates/ppl i know in the area. the local community invests in arsenal and arsenal invests back (although now most season ticket holders drive down from Hertfordshire and most ppl who live near me cant afford to go games)
i dislike the FA, i dislike most of the England players, i dislike nationalism and patriotism
why should i want England to do well?
id rather a team like germany do well because it would be nice to see mertesacker, podolski, ozil winning. the last thing i want to see is a beaming rooney or that tnuc frank lampard lifitng the world cup lol

It's fair to say, as i already did with the no melanin joke, that England just doesn't represent the type of people that live there. Lescott?
Also Hodgson prefer players from liverpool, and he always has and thats the only imaginable reason someone like Flanagan gets chosen over better players like Richards, Walker, Cole or Gibbs imo.
He is a disaster, even when he was at fc copenhagen where his budget was tripled compared with the competition.
Sterling is another one

Kyle Walker was scouted by Barcelona to take over from Alves when spurs wasn't fucking around. But I'll take your complete arsenal bias over their scouting ability, obviously!
'England just doesn't represent the type of people that live there.
You just said something almost identical to that a few posts back ?
But there's a certain palpable preference that is inescapable when you look at who has been tried out on your national team. Really concervative choices, not exactly racial but somewhere close to that and very institutionalized, meaning Liverpool and United would be the places the coach would look first.
Why is someone like Lennon, Walker, Sterling or Sturridge (prior to thi season) considered 'flaky' when Lampard, Milner and Cleverley aren't?

Must've decided he wasn't good enough then? Barca could scout me and decide I'm not good enough for them, doesn't make me any good.

i more meant that my neighbours dont support england as they aren't english so that means my local community doesnt get together as one to support england like they do arsenal. the vast majority of ppl that live in england are english though so i dont see what you mean really
theres meant to be a massive problem with the lack of asian professional footballers in england.
very underrepresented considering the size of the community here

You know Glen Johnson and Chris Smalling were selected in defence?

Actually they did it with Micha aswell, so I don't know where that takes my point.
I think it takes a lot for Barca to even consider a british player so that's my point.
Someone like Sturridge has been tried out at three premier league clubs and with your logic that must make him a poor player.
Joe
i more meant that my neighbours dont support england as they aren't english
How much not english are they

?
I think there's exactly the same discrepancy in music comming from the uk. Would you select Robbie, Mick Hucknall and oasis to represent that now?
the vast majority of ppl that live in england are english though so i dont see what you mean really
But ok, I can't make a joke because scepticunt is a liverpool fan

, so instead I'll make an example with the German national team where you have two 'polish' strikers that come from the area of poland that borders with Germany, a few turkish dudes that are probably quite popular in hamburg and berlin yet all of Germany loves them and they are arguably as concervative institution wise in German football as they are in England. And... Hold on!... They've picked them by their footballing ability which is just such a crazy, odd, flaky concept, innit?.
Also France

I'll spell it out for you.

So twice you referred to no melanin in defence once referring specifically to Lescott and yet you haven't noticed that two of the defenders selected are black.

The truth is ironically on my side of the argument, when stating it like an ultimatum like you just did, that Smalling is ONLY white.
I was refering to the central part of the defence. With the underlying meaning that Lescott is a better player ofcourse. City could've gone for Jagielka instead of Lescott back then btw. Not an argument in itself ofcourse, but he is pretty good and left footed.
'Represent' can mean to a degree and is gradual and not a direct measure, so it's not a case of 'hey!!!!! I can count one in your example dumbdumb'.

Smalling is a centre half I don't know what ultimatum you're referring to and Lescott has played 8 times this season in the league. The rest of your post makes less sense than the stuff I've referred to so I'll leave it at that.
Sometimes it's easier to just admit you were wrong rather than trying to wring a justification from nonsense.

Costa to Chelsea: £32m

Little surprised tbh.. they look like they'll win the league and in the CL final. He comes across as a bit of a tnuc though so presume we're paying through the nose in wages.

Just came to post that Muncey. Hopefully he doesn't get injured during the world cup. Come on Chelsea, the league is ours next year.

weird that atletico negotiate before the world cup knowing how this affects the price of the players

I'd be surprised if this wasn't a buy out clause. Seems cheap.
