i'm sure you've seen all this before.
As old as this is, I wanna make a point to note too never sit a laptop on monitors, it will corrupt your HD, and you will be gutted when it does...

N Im not posting a picture of CDMIX n a NANOkontrol... You can google it or go to my myspace or something.

yeah, laptop DJs/producers watch out haha the magnets in those big speakers (even your little monitors at home) will fuck up your Hard drive.

Yeah, do explain.
The magnetic field needed to whipe out a modern hard drive needs to be pretty big, most speakers / monitors don't have such a big magnetic field out of their cases (shielding etc)

Im not a scientist. Magnets kill harddrives. Dont believe me, sit your Acer Aspire One on top of walmart brand sony speakers overnight, n wake up without a computer. It wont fuck anything up on just a swipe, but fall asleep with the magnet coils pushing power (brostep) n youll reget it... I lost one HD to the top of my 8", and an external to the front of a set of 6s. The one in the laptop was 5 months old and the external was only 3. You gonna suggest it was something other then the magnets?

I wasn't saying it weren't the magnets, just saying it was weird since the magnetic field needed to wipe an HD is pretty big (don't have exact numbers in tesla), and most monitors (and hard drives) shield fields going in and out (using a case with a high µr).
And let's not forget that every hard drive has a set of 2 powerful rare earth magnets made out of neodymium in them.
