Diego could you explain that Sevilla hatred a bit ?

Power is the only real way of making sure... I don't get why players don't just drill practise hammering the ball into the top corner. No keeper's getting to a penalty from Gerrard, Lampard, Shearer... but all the 'clever' ones just need the keeper to guess right or be lucky... you've GOT to smash the fucker hard enough to break a wrist.

If you get a penalty at 2-0 up in a game then fine, try and be smooth sending the keeper the wrong way but not in a shoot out

Talking of Henry and smooth...

Peter Scmeichel explained recently on danish tv how he would always decide which way to go before even looking at the striker. In penaties he would decide to go like left, leftdown, down (no shuriken). But seriously he would chose a direction for each penalty before even considering what leg they used or whatever, doesn't make a lot of sence tbh... but it relates to nerves.

It's the same as punching a bag in a way. Try to hit it as hard as you can in the first shot and you will realize that it's not going to be that precise. The fact that a penalty is carried out the way it is, means that nerves etc will effectively make taking the penalty almost like if it was a first shot, because you are sort of removed and are not just carrying on what you were doing. They should play more dart lol those dudes are jedi imo

Balotelli and Vidal are both ridiculously good at penalties btw, both get to do it infront of Pirlo .

But you'd expect a professional boxer to be able to punch a boxing bag hard and precise just like you'd expect a professional footballer to hit a hard precise shot on target.
