The Invisible Man. Wasnt nearly as boring as many older films are imo. Was nice to actually see it.

The Hills Have Eyes (2006) - actually pretty good, enjoyed as much as i could (probably one of the few films that kind of edged me a bit (would say the part but wouldn't want to spoil)*

Shutter Island
Thought this film was a steaming piece of shit the first time round, but on a second viewing last night (when you already know the twist ending) it's actually a lot, lot more enjoyable. Found myself understanding a lot more of what was happening in the early goings, together with all the clues/notes that contribute towards the end.

Looper. Definitely one of the better movies ive seen in a bit (especially for sci-fi). Would recommend it. Also seeing Lawrence of Arabia on the biggest screen in the theater on Thurs. Never seen it, figured this would be the best way.

Claire Danes is absolutely brilliant in this, but the direction and editing is mindblowing - such a great depiction (or at least a great effort at a depiction) of what it's like to experience autism. Beautiful (true) story.

Saw Killing them softly, wish I'd seen Looper instead.

Fair enough!
Last film I saw was Paradies: Liebe (Paradise: Love) by Ulrich Seidl. Quite liked it, though looking at some comments, I read it a bit differently from people that were not too keen. It's quite a sad story about the need of being loved, and rather naive and desperate ways of trying to find that connection with others. Features one of the most human degrading scenes I've ever seen.
