I like most of his stuff mate, got a few things on 12", but like others have said, you're definitely scratching the surface.

Even his newer stuff which is going down the more "radio friendly route" is quite catchy.

I don't like Skrillex's music, or generally ANY type of brostep, but I believe that people are too quick to point the "bandwagoning" finger at artists who make changes in their styles and/or attempt to branch out.


Example: I love every tune that Skream has EVER made. Ever. From Dark Light and Arola to, yes that's right, Anticipate.
I clearly see his branching out and change of style as exactly that - he's making an effort to grow as an artist and try new things.

However, many people have a lot of hate for that and label it as selling out. I honestly think that's horrible because it completely discourages the thing I love the most about dubstep, which is originality. One of the main reasons I hate most brostep is the lack of originality it posseses.

However, this type of attitude only discourages originality.

No hate for anyone, I respect their opinions, I just am generally disgusted when I see these type of posts and felt like
popping my 2 cents in.

I'm not saying just because you weren't there from the beginning you are bandwagoning. But I'm pretty sure people can at least see the obvious ones... Take that whole Korn thing from a few months ago for instance. It was obvious to everyone that they had no idea about what they were talking about.
Do you honestly think that people like Korn, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, The Doors etc actually care about dubstep ? Let's get real.
And how can The Doors branch out?! They're not even an active band, Jim Morison's been dead for 40 years and the last album they did was in '78...
