Quite disappointed, thought it was gonna be sick but was actually quite crap, but not enough to be jokes. 6/10

Wes Craven tends to be pretty shit IMO. It says a lot that this is one of his best movies. However, there is fun to be had here and with a few other entries in the series. Avoid the remake though.

Yes. If you're into 80's Horror. 1 and 2 are both worth a watch but the rest ofthe series went down hill, really down hill.

Any film recommendations like Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Thought that was pretty good and quite scary.

You might like some the stuff that was coming out of Italy and Spain in the 1970's, if you can get past the dubbing.

Taxi Driver is a classic, imo.

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
Taxi Driver seems to have this tag of being this incredibly violent film, which it isn't at all (bar the last few scenes).
I think it's partly down to the press it got in the 70s. there's a quote from a critic at the time of release describing it as being "as gory as a clockwork orange" or something along those lines. it's either tongue in cheek (neither film is particularly gory) or it's just piggybacking off the controversy surrounding the film. presumably the latter.
all that aside, it's an incredible film. probably my favourite scorsese.
