Not saying either are better.
It`s just that if you feel Reason isn`t capable, you should rethink.

My experience with DAWs:
1) Reason: The interface is amazing!!!!! But... NO VST?! Reason I got out of reason and never came back...
2) FL Studio: Only played with older versions. It's very good to design drum patterns but, I don't like the way you do your mixing/routing and automation drawing is quite clumsy. This may be out-of-dated info.
3) Logic: Opened it... didn't managed to get any sound of it lol. A friend then told me how. I didn't like the MAC version that much, and the old windows versions...
4) Live: I don't like the note editor. I also don't like the arrangement window. However, it's excellent to drop ideas, design drums and messing with samples.
And the last one:
CUBASE: Steep learning curve. It's a workflow nightmare if you don't know how to use it. However, the note editor, the BEST arrangement window ever, the mixer... Cubase wins and gets my vote. You have to learn it to love it. HOWEVER, from all of the DAW's I mentioned, it's the worse at designing drums

You missed the best DAW from your list, which has a great mixer and a great arrangement view too....e-motion wrote:My experience with DAWs:

As I feel you'll likely be amazed by the speedy workflow and improvements over cubase, you might want to try it for yourself? http://www.reaper.fm/
Re: My DAW is better than yours! (Friendly DAW Wars debate)
it seems like futures_untold feels the need to eliminate all other DAWs from our life so that all the music producers in the world user reaper

Re: My DAW is better than yours! (Friendly DAW Wars debate)
loool, I'm a bit too into Cubase to change DAWs now :S I may try it though.
Re: My DAW is better than yours! (Friendly DAW Wars debate)
Logic forever.
I think a lot of producers are very partial to their daws, so I don't know how many will be willing to change

Re: My DAW is better than yours! (Friendly DAW Wars debate)
Reasons strength is the fact that there are no vst's. Reason has legendary stabilty and for example I've been using it for 2 years and it's yet to crash on me besides just because you cant use massive and fm8 to make da wobblez and wubz doesn't mean it's an inferior DAWe-motion wrote:My experience with DAWs:

Re: My DAW is better than yours! (Friendly DAW Wars debate)
Reaper's never crashed for me and is really stable, it also has vst support.
And then the debate crashed around our ankles and all involved realized the futility of their arguments and the only one true way, which had been championed by prior announcers to whom they had not heeded. The grail of the /Thread had finally descended upon them in the form of a reaper, to bring an end this ageless debate on its 39th page in the bitter steel winds of this new year...
