Hank as always been a good guy. Boorish and assholeish maybe, but still a good guy.

Seriously? Hank is a piece of shit, thats one of the key factors of the show.

What? Hank's like the only straight up good guy in the show. He's just extremely flawed in his personal life and his marriage.

He's the counter balance of Walt. Walt and Hank both have massive egos that they try really hard to maintain. But Hank knows when to stop and Walt doesn't.

No one was arguing that Hank wasn't an asshole.. he's not the type of guy I would wanna be friends with. But unlike Walt, he does care deeply for his loved ones. Even for junior. He'd probably take a bullet for him.

I definitely agree with that, but I wouldn't really say Walt doesn't care deeply for his loved ones. His ego just clouds his judgement and leads to him neglecting them and their safety, but that he doesn't care for Walt Jr. or his infant daughter is incorrect

Yeah but it's a different type of love now than it was before. It's not your standard fatherly love, but a more narcisistic kind. All the good he does or feels for his kids is viewed as something he deserves approval for.

Skyler is a tard who has made every situation worse at every fuckin available oppurtunity. She's riding off the "coming up with Walt's Gambling story" and nothing else.
Plus the situation with Ted was one of her entirely own making yet she seems to be happy to blame Walt for it all. In fact, if she hadn't given all the money away to Ted (I still can't understand this side story, quit ur shitty book keeping job, fuck Ted, gtfo of there before it blows up) then Walt would've been able to call the guy who gives you a new life. But no, she spent it and forced Walt's hand.

But yeah, this show is getting darker. Just waiting for this whole Walt and Jesse thing to explode, I doubt the poisoning incident is gonna stay under wraps for much longer, Walt is too careless when it comes to stuff like this and he always gets found out.

the beauty of the character design is that each will act in a contrary way to how you view them at any one point of the show

you might think Hank is a good guy till you see him rag on Walt and demean is wife, its just the way they design the characters in this show

twists and turns come from strong character development, not necessarily rigid characterisations that see the same traits repeated over and over with effect to the storylines in the show in general (aka the Wire)

weird view of Skyler when Walt is a deranged megalomaniac who in finding his 'voice' or 'ego' has actually unlocked the darkest and most self-centered quarters of his psyche

Skylar is no angel but Walt kills people, poisons children, sets up friends, lies incessantly and has since, grown more and more accordingly with cliched and boring gangster stereotypes

the guys a joke and only a few people see it

anyone else dealing with Walt at this point are merely cleaning up the mess that he's leaving behind

yes, he's doing it for his family but also he's doing it cos as a person, as a man, he has literally nothing else left - and thats not just because of the cancer, its cos he was a little pussy homophobe. bitch before the cancer who never had any balls to stand up for himself (which is why hank is there as a character, to show how weak 'Walt' is) and that is ultimately his own fault.

the beauty of the character design is that each will act in a contrary way to how you view them at any one point of the show

you might think Hank is a good guy till you see him rag on Walt and demean is wife, its just the way they design the characters in this show

When they're first introduced anyway. I never liked Hank until recently and I still recognize he's an asshole, but he's grown on me as one of the least morally questionable characters in it.

I think that's a ridiculous supposition based on pure conjecture (or perhaps personal experience) and it holds no weight.
Skyler just annoys me. Sorry. I'm sick of her shit. She doesn't know whether to stick or twist and always changes her mind at the worst fkcing time making everything 100X worse.

And who knows. Maybe Walt knew the kid would survive the poisoning and knew it was the only way to remove a greater evil (Gus)
I certainly think from experiencing the show you would know better than to write Walt off. Walt is OG.
