Chad Lee Jones is a DJ/producer working toward a next-step fusion of electronica, dub, rock, hip-hop and bass music, collectively defining his evolving and ambitious sound that has been described as "inspired ritualist… a journey through strange musical topographies, no map included". Since 2004 he has collaborated, produced and remixed for a wide range of people including Michael Stipe, Yo Majesty, Cappadonna, Dr. Israel, MC Zulu, Juakali, Dub Gabriel, Profisee, Kush Arora, Goonda, Coppa, Bongo Chili, Sub Swara, Gaudi, Eric D Clark and Kid Beyond. Process Rebel currently lives in Amsterdam and is working on a full length album titled 'Angels & Speaker Cones' and the 101VOiD project with MC Zulu.
The
Original Mix showcases a Process Rebel excursion into dark minimalist terrain with driving hats, spooky atmospherics and ominous vocal stabs courtesy of Dr. Israel.
J.Rogers & achetypewriter of San Francisco take things into the deep dubstep region with sinister bass pulses and tight grooves. Detroit’s
Keith Kemp of Planet E and Beretta Grey fame shows his roots with a dirty wobbling bassline encompassed within an effective minimalist structure. Last on the menu is Process Rebel’s own
Drop Time Mix, which takes the energy level up 10 notches with an aggressive dubstep bassline and glitched-out melodic work.
