I wouldn't doubt that everyone involved with this project has an immense passion for music and innovation therefore I would hesistate to speculate on the intentions behind it.

Fair enough being negative for the sake of it is waste but you can't blame people for the cynical stance given that all previous efforts at a dubstep/rap fusion have been well, shite. Preferring the origins of a sound as opposed to the commercial money making end is no bad thing either. Which lets be honest is what this dubstep rap thing is all about.
Its about trying new things with the sound. Nobody has earnt any money out of this and its being given away free, regardless of the countless hours spent in the studio mixing, recording and arranging all of these tracks.

it's being given away for FREE, genius
I was talking about the crossover in general terms not just this mix, thought that would have been obvious tbh. Do you think they have decided to jump on dubstep for the love of dubstep? Or for the money the sound is going to make them?
So they jumped on Dubstep cos dubstep will make them loads of money?

Of course, hip hop is obviously not making them any money..... and dubstep is obviously much bigger than hip hop so this makes complete sense......

damn it i've been so naive.

No I'd say they're on dubstep because it's the "hot new sound" that they've seen snoop dog riding and I'm sure they don't want to be left behind. Anyhow best of luck with it.

I was shitting myself thinking this'd involve collabs with bare shit mainstream gangsta rappers, but glad it's not. Think I'm gonna go dig out all my MF DOOM records and get nostalgic.
