Instead, there's chalk drawings of buildings. So the hospital is just a square drawn in chalk on the ground with the word "hospita" written over it. The jail, etc...the same thing.
Yeah I did see that on television awhile ago, that was actually quite a good film.
Ah you mean Dogville

I love that film

Burst out laughing so many times, the ending had me howling with laughter, when he get's "stuck" etc

Easily Miike's best film, treads the line between serious and comedy perfectly.

^^ I was watching it while being fairly sick, with the classic "lying in bed but can only breathe outta one nostril" situation....gotta watch it again high or something.

the breast milk obsession was fucked up.

also watched District 9 (not on topic I know)....slightly disappointed...but most new big movies arent that good.

Haneke rules, love the little mindfuck he pulled on audiences with Funny Games, invited them in for some gore and violence, gave em none and left em feeling like shit, nice.

Gaspar Noé is another maniac, I Stand Alone and Irreversible, family flixxx, use of intense sub bass in the latter left some people puking in the theatre... I saw it on release in this little alternative cinema, almost half the audience left in disgust/protest and before leaving one even verbally abused us, the audience, for staying to watch more... nice.
