Planning my next one now. Just to make a convincingly good sketch first.

I love getting tattooed.
The smell is the best part for me.

if you can find a tattooer by hand near you - and most of you in the UK can, I have a couple of names for you if you're interested - you should 100% go for it. that's how I got my birdies done and I wouldn't have it any other way. almost pain free, totally safe & sterile, no electricity involved, intricate shading using tons of little tiny dots in various gradients... best of all, no scabbing, no bleeding, healing time of a few days to a week, and done with nothing but someone's creativity and a needle in their hand.

yeh birds have been my thing since i was a lil bird meself. my parents will tell you until age 6 or so i maintained that i wanted to be a bird when i grew up. mind you at 6 years old you're definitely old enough to discern that's not really possible. i chose to get them now for several reasons... those ones in particular because they're probably the most badass birds ever. fastest known member of the animal kingdom, found nearly everywhere on earth, highly migratory (i have serious wanderlust) yet monogamous and return to the same spot every year with the same partner to nest. not to mention the fact that they are sexually dismorphic, with the female being larger and more powerful than the male.

to be fair a tattooist using an electric needle still has to have skills.
