Enjoy!
This is a nice deep wobbler, i like the percussion, kick and snare sit nicely
The wobbles though sound a bit disconected from everything else, like, theres this nice bed of drums, and then a big wobble comes in from somewhere completley different, i don't really know how to describe it. sounds a bit muddy? or like its missing a bit to much some HF content? perhaps just bring the level down on the main wub (comes in at ~52 secs)

Maybe utilize the vocal sample a little more to add some variety to the track, give the ears something else to concentrate on for a couple of seconds

My two pence :t:

Wat up guys,

So I decided to write something a bit harder. Might be a bit too abnoxiouse.

Let me know, could really use some feedback on this one.

that is hard as fuck mate, proper aggro screwface bit. well into it as far as the chainsaw wobble stuff goes.

so it's been just over 2 years since i touched a DAW, and decided to have another crack. going for an almost acid-y wobble bit, not the big chainsaw stuff though.

http://soundcloud.com/colder/colder-exp ... -demo-clip

that's just a demo segment of it, thoughts on how the instruments sit etc?

EDIT: just realised i've only commented on one track in this month's thread, shit. sorry dsf heads.

From what i can hear in the clip, it seems like the synths are drowning out the drums. Apart from this the synths sound really nice and work well together. Got some good ideas in that clip, would like to hear the finished thing.

This is huge, had me listening all the way through. Would love a 320 when available if possible. Sick vocal samples as well used really well! And the parts where everything cut out for a second were great! Well done!

Loving the samples throughout this! Plus the synths sound really nice and fit really well the whole song. Sub is nice and fat too. Wish the samples that come in around 10 seconds had more of a part in the whole song. But overall it's hench!

So this is my march project. I think it maybe needs a nice female vocal... Hope you'll hear it and share your opinion! Thanks

Liking the subs and the beat in this, but the midrangy stuff and the lead is a bit to weak imo (levelwise).

Nice break in the intro. Could use a part with a lead, imo. The huge gaps after the snare let the track breathe in a nice way, but the bass is pushing the kick away a bit, I think (it's not as punchy as before the drop). Otherwise, nice thing!

Ok, so here's the newest version of what still is my current project:

Oddness! I think it's a bit glutted at times. Would love to hear what you guys think about the arrangement and especially the mixdown, since my monitoring possibilities are still kind of limited :?
I had a small detour.

Loving the 2step/dubstep drums you got going on and the synths and vocals work pretty damn well. Kicks the shit out of my stuff anyday lol, would like to hear it when its fully finished.

Sick tune btw, personally I would tone down the reverb on the bassline by a bit but its still a dark track which I like. Maybe think about including a synth part over the bassline but only if it makes it better. Would love a 320 when you finish it.
Drekbek wrote:hey guys! this is a track iam currently working on! would love to hear from u guys what u think of it and the most important What i could change to make it better
the track is unmastered and unfinished yet :)

Loving this chilled out track, maybe fill out the bassline a bit more but not too much that it overpowers the track but enough so it has a bit more of a presence.

Finally heres a track I've been pissing about with, any feedback would be good.

not really tryna make a heavy drop ay. just a change in motion, keepn it chill & psychedelic. playing with the idea of healing with vibrations.
starting to resonate freqs & figure out the effects lyk. but ay its just a theory & ive got alot of study & experimentation to do. neva know whats guna become of this foundation, might have anotha play with it later!!chea

Thanks heaps for the replies, very much appreciated!
I will definately be adding some more tastey samples to the mix. And i'll try giving it some leads to see how it fills out.
As for the 320's. It will be my pleasure to send them out. Honestly i had to just look up what a 320 was lol, so drop me a line and when the track is done and i've figured out how to mixdown a 320 i'll hit you up!

Thanks again, PEACE!

Hey man, doin some return feedback for you.
I'm enjoying the feel of the track so far. I'd look at trying to change that straight line synth to something softer, maybe a pad or string section. That (in my oppinion) will really bring the focus on the kick and drum work you put in, and bring out that cool wobble too. Also enjoying your fades, this track sounds like it will progress well. Olux.

Hey nice track. I'm diggin the big feel to it. Enjoyed the drops and the wobbles are working well. If i had to think of something to suggest.. Maybe look for a way to make that drop after the vocal sample lift a bit more to have the song evolve. Maybe introduce a lead. This is a tidy song so far. Interested in hearing it when it's finished. Abstrym....nice intro on that one.

soulsyhnchyld....loving the laid back vibes on this and agree the drop doesn;t need to be heavy.

j-one- Nice feel to that beat, nice tune all round:

Very rough WIP of mine:

As well as turning the bassline down, variating it and sorting the sub out is there anything else that can be done?

bro i reckon its too hard to pick out anything(cause theirs no headroom ay). instead of turning everything up & drowning the sound, try 2 eq all your tracks into their correct places, that dubby lead thingy could be expanded, reverbed, low passed & take the highs down abit(like pass 15k -20k). with the bline i would highpass 2 100hz(just for sub) & copy it to another track & just make it a midrange track. that way ya can still keep it sounding loud, but itll clean it up alot. duno tho, chea

I've toned it down a bit, it's not drowning the beat as much now.
