the vocal sample was a preset from fruity loops ha, just chopped it up a bit to make it fitHolda wrote:
i know this isnt what you asked for feedback on but the tune in your signature is sick would you mind telling me where you got the sample from??
i enjoyed this, did you write the intro yourself? or was it a sample. the kick seems a bit too clicky and the bass seems a bit over distorted?kaiori breathe wrote:Need some crit on the track in my sig. I like it musically, but production wise it's lacking. I'm having problems with it.
First off the kick is really weak. The snare has no mid-section hit. The opening pad has too much high end. The drum loop at the start has too much high end. The sub bass in the breakdown is really pissing me about too. It sounds really weak, especially on the lower notes, but I can't seem to fix it, i've tried boosting at 60hz and lower to fix it but it doesn't resolve the problem (I know common n00b problem). I don't know what to do with this thing and I'm really close to just giving up on it and never mixing it down properly. I need help. Have I analyzed the problems correctly? Or am I way off the mark? Also, any suggestions on how to fix the problem with the sub are very welcome.
this track is awesome, only thing that i found wrong with it was the wob bass that came in was a bit random for me. still a sweet track thoHeretiK wrote:Hey guys, got a chilled dub track for you. Please take a listen, any feedback (positive or negative) will be returned

Thanks for the feedback, i can definitely see where you're coming fromCollisionCourse wrote:@ neurotik
again loving this, loving the vocal sample, from blackstreet init? anyway the sound gets a bit samey after a while, it wouldnt hurt to throw in some catchy pads every so often. what i do love is the drums, i would of thrown in some switch up in there somewhere, but thats just me. a few elements to consider, but still a really nice track.
Great track here man, perfect amount of reverb on the drums to give the overall track a real nice atmosphere. I love the way the track progresses after around 1:40, wonderful work on the bass and percussion too.CollisionCourse wrote:this ones mine, biggles

Really love what you've done with the guitars here, nice chilled vibes. Although i think it could work without the 'wob', i don't think it does too much to take away from the feel of the track aslong it's kept simple and doesn't start to overwhelm other elements of the track. Great work on the bass at the end and overall this is a real nice track, following you on SoundCloud.HeretiK wrote:Hey guys, got a chilled dub track for you. Wish I could say something more than just telling you that this sounds great but that's pretty much all I've got. Great production value. Not a single flaw imo.youthful_implants wrote: Woottsy - Dopamine (Youthful Implants remix) forthcoming on Strontium

Everything was written myself. Just threw it together using FL keys. The bass may well be overdistorted but I think just sorting out the attack on it should solve that, it comes in very harshly I think. But thanks for the comments.Corkz wrote: i enjoyed this, did you write the intro yourself? or was it a sample. the kick seems a bit too clicky and the bass seems a bit over distorted?
sounds like you know what you need to fix so its a matter of learning how to do it ha
production is generally quite solid though
hey bro, snares a bit to loud, the BD is a bit weird, the sub sounds good, keep at it mantundra wrote:just finished this track. 134bpm, in C, cracking snares, bouncy. i dont expect a ton of feedback, but any would be great. 320s available upon request, too.
