Re: Dubstep Clichés
ooh ooh, VJ's using warfare imagery over sets. Maybe for militant dnb it's suitable, but I have had to have words with Vj's about this, certainly not the vibe I'm interested in!
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

so true...
one of the many terrible VJ's I have seen in my town had a lame image of turtles swimming in a pool and then had nuclear explosions going off on top of that...
why would he think that would look decent, acceptable
terrible VJ twats
Re: Dubstep Clichés
I'll take war vibes over skanky porno vibes, honestly. When they start cutting in fisting videos and midget porn and shit, that's where I draw the line. But yeah... bad VJ's can kill vibes quicker'n people selling laxatives disguised as E.FSTZ wrote:hahapete bubonic wrote:ooh ooh, VJ's using warfare imagery over sets. I think it might be because it's such a wide and un-well-defined genre tbhdubloke wrote:I have forever regreted my name, thats what you get for coming up with it when your 16kejk wrote:People with the word dubstep in their artist name.![]()
and as for cliches, Bandwagon Jumpers? I know they are in all music genres, but I think Dubstep attracts the most?

Re: Dubstep Clichés
People persuaded they found the next biggest artist because they like the one track he published on his myspace/youtube channel and then tell their friends to listen to that "sick" tune and "sick" artist when in fact the tune is not that good and the "artist" will abandon music right after that to do something else.

so the guy that I was talking about is much more interesting to look at than his videos
he wears a leather sailor hat (or something equally lame) and he sticks his jaw out like a cleft-palleted mong...
much more intersting than turtles and nuclear bombs on the screen

People that don't realize the only stylistic similarity brostep and dubstep share is the word step in their name.deadly habit wrote:bitching about how dubstep is just loosely based on tempo and bass
