that pdf exploit was fun whilst it lasted hehe .... if your using anything below adobe reader 10 your machine is vulnerable (but most av detects the payload now)

same as foxit reader update if you havnt already

about 2 months ago that exploit was undetectable

You dont even have to open the app (preview). PDF Technology was implemented into the OS since its birth at mac osx 10.0
In leopard/snow leopard you can just hit the space bar for a full screen view of pdf's/pictures/movies whatever. Its all in the system.

noscript. adblock plus
weekly scan with spybot and avira (hell with avast) and a defraggler ccleaner
you'll be clean and good
plus a nice maintained system

Another warning earlier as well, with adblock & noscript and their chrome equivalents.
No automatic downloads though, maybe it was just left over warnings.
