someone said take the thames clipper on the river to see the sites. i suggest you get off at greenwich. it's a really nice place, with loads of boutiques and old school pubs (for some reason there a few mexican restaurants, but they're yummy). there's a market, big park, some old school buildings, a couple of free museums, including the queen's house. and you can walk up to the observatory through the park and get a wicked view of London since it's up on a hill. the royal observatory and greenwich mean time museum are free, but if you have some cash, go for the planetarium show. at the moment they're showing violent universe: http://www.nmm.ac.uk/visit/planetarium-shows/
