@voodeedoo: i like the second track, the secondary part. perhaps focus on that, try some timing and note variations and give the bassline a little more life. reminds me of bassnectar and pretty lights.
@akoma: there is so much bass coupled with your synth being reverby, adds an interesting depth but i agree with the poster above the mix needs some tweaking.
@bryzer: cool song but i feel like it lacks melodically (not unusual for this style), and a lot of the non-yoy synths are too loud. tangent, what's on deck for the excision show this week? & are you gonna ride out to tampa for itchy and sluggo in a couple weeks?
@dequo: i like this track a lot, you should tie up the ends and give it a proper mix down! good vibes here
Hi! This is my first time posting any of my work here, and this particular bit happens to be the first real baby that me and my new computer have made together
i enjoy this track and it's looking like it will be the first that I will actually finish. i am currently peeling through a mass of percussion & effects sample packs to fix up the drums and get some fun incidentals in there but i think my synth and sub bass needs work, as well as i'm thinking a little background melody or simply a secondary synth doing something a little different but in sync would be nice. more activity basically. i often can hear the secondary sounds in my head no problem but i run in to trouble actually creating the particular sound i have in mind and then making it fit sonically, whether it is a certain lowish bass, or a mid-high synth, etc.
any criticisms, tips, thread-ref's and the like are greatly appreciated!
