Tectonic - I like all of their releases and the Jack Sparrow album. Also Scientist Launches Dubstep Into Outer Space should be brilliant.

still not entirely convinced by the Night Slugs sound to be honest. a couple of great tunes, especially off the Kingdom EP, but otherwise....

Night Slugs just has its own sound plus is new this year plus has massively prolific. So they deserve it to be honest. But yeah, not strickly dubstep on the other hand.

Still, top 5 in no particular order :

- Night Slugs ( Girl Unit - WUT, Velour EP, Egyptrixx, Kingdom...)
- Hyperdub ( North, 2x DVA, King Midas Sound, Kyle Hall and Terror Danjah )
- Hessle Audio (James Blake, Pangaea, Joe and Elgato )
- Tectonic ( Scientist, Jack Sparrow, Pinch, Jakes, Darqwan )
- Swamp 81 (Kryptic Minds, Pinch, Ramadanman, Addison Groove, The Bug)

Gotta be the top 5.

Hotflush did well imo (Triangulation, George Fitzgerald, Sepalcure and to a lesser extent : Mount Kimbie). R&S had a few cracking releases too (mainly Pariah and James Blake for me).

Som of the less prolific yet wonderfull labels include Pushing Red, Naked Lunch, Reduction, Box Clever, Apple Pips and of course : Chestplate

Yeah, Night Slugs for me. Although R&S are second purely on the grounds that they released Pariahs Ep. Surely Mount Kimbie did more than just a little to contribute to Hot Flush...? And I really dig Scubas releases this year.

Yeah, Night Slugs for me. Although R&S are second purely on the grounds that they released Pariahs Ep. Surely Mount Kimbie did more than just a little to contribute to Hot Flush...? And I really dig Scubas releases this year.

it just wasn't my favourite Mount Kimbie release (so personally for me). I'd say that if you're a major kimbie fan, hotflush is bound to be in your top 5.

Also, deep medi should indeed be in there somewhere. Kosmic 87 is propper dubstep. VIVAK also quite good, Quest...

have had no to exposure to Simon/ Off before, this was the first I have heard... just had a little listen to the release on Boomkat and its wicked! excellent percussion and enough rolling bass throughout to keep me warm at night, cheers for posting!!
