In America the government will let you die on the street of a curable disease if you don't have healthcare, the UK isn't that bad yet.
the government have nothing to do with it and there is a form of free healthcare for people who need it in America i believe... correct me though if im wrong, i could be!

We're equally as fucked over here.

You are wrong, thousands of people die every week from curable diseases or because their health insurance providers decide not to cover them. The only thing available is medicare for a very small proportion of society, basically, old people. Right-wingers and Libertarians would love to repeal even that section of society which get government run coverage.
Heathcare costs are out of control, my uncle, who lives in the States, pays $7000 a year, even until a few months ago, if you had coverage you could still be denied your costs if you had a pre-existing condition, meaning basically if you were already ill before we started insuring you, you have to pay your costs. The costs for a broken leg if not covered would be around $10,000 to $20,000, nice and cheap, so imagine what the costs would be for an ongoing pre-existing condition, bills often run into $100,000+, if you can't pay, you die or go bankrupt and have your house taken off of you.
AAHHH America, freedom.
I'm not anti-America at all, I just think it's weird how they're the only developed country which will let its citizens die on the street because they're poor.

considering it's the private sector that runs health care and insurance at the moment i'd say it has every damn right to intervene

I've read of people being charged a total of $30,000.
I've read of people being charged a total of $30,000.
They even charge you for the food. Ridiculous.
you should see what an ambulance ride costs, better off catching a cab or driving yourself

What does $30,000 cover though, how do they possibly come up with a figure like that?
Gold-plated plaster-cast?

It makes me really upset, healthcare is a right, at least it is in every single other developed country. America has contributed so much to the world, has so much money, yet can't/won't look after its people.

take normal supplies that cost in the cents like bandaids or say antibacterial ointment in a regular store then mark it up about 100x + labor for putting it on you + god knows what other fees (believe me if i wasn't a vet and covered, just some dumb shit like me getting hit by a car while riding my bike would have raped my wallet)
i can completely understand people avoiding getting treatment with how ridiculous the system is in it's current state

I feel like non-Americans are more concerned about the state of your healthcare system than you guys are.

Sadly it definitely feels like that sometimes.

the problem is, like with all american politics, instead of a bill just covering healthcare they tacked on a bunch of other shit trying to sneak those agendas in under the guise of health care
that's when you get back into the retarded extremist political side debate territory with plays out so well in the media and makes for the majority of people being ignorant to the real issues at hand
if people weren't so damn gullible to lap up what the news says and actually did some basic research to try to get a non-biased opinion, pressured their elected representatives, we probably would have some form of socialized medicine by now

It's a shame socialism is considered such a dirty word in the States, you can't get elected in a European country unless you vow to protect the socialist infrastructure of the country.

the media and politicians have done quite a good job at making the general populace believe that socialism = communism/fascism
if only the average person realized how much of a caste system we live in already
