Yeah, except gaga has actively lobbied against DADT and uses her influence to spread the message of sexual tolerance.

Not to mention her beats are bangin but you probably can't see past her outfits.

CELEBRITY IN 'GOOD DEED' SHOCKER!

You say that as if it's remotely relevant. I've never heard that before either, can't be doing too much of a good job spreading the word.

She's doing wonders for feminism too ay?

her beats are not banging that is the point it is the same shit recycled, image masks the non-development of the music

Yeah, she can actually become a successful act by not turning herself into a sex symbol like every other female artist. Someone mentioned she had no substance, so it is relevant. Her speech about DADT was spot on and very informed. You've never heard that she's pro gay-rights?

Sure, because we all heard "poker face" a million times before. The whole "recycled music" argument is tired and ridiculous, you don't have to be beethoven to make good music.

Maybe the more appropriate question should be: Why don't I like music that most other people like?
It can still appeal to masses without being commercial. I wouldn't exactly call 'Rolling' by Limp Bizkit or 'This is how you remind me' by Nickelback commercial but they were popular.

'Popular' (pop) doesn't necessarily mean commercial, but commercial generally means 'pop' (or expensive to make money out of it, or both!)

The Darkness! They weren't commercial but they were popular...
What do you take commercial to mean then? Something other than "commercially successful"? How was The Darkness not commercial?

I literally laughed out loud at the "she can actually become a successful act by not turning herself into a sex symbol like every other female artist".

I'd go as far to say she's the sluttiest pop star there is;

You get the idea.

Also, her music has no substance, the shit she gets pushed into doing to promote herself as an ethical 'brand' is, totally irrelevant.

I've come to the conclusion you must be trollin'.

Ever cross your mind it might just be because they're fans of the tunes? I mean, most DJ's and producers use the sounds they love the most as influence...
that's exactly what I am saying. I am a fan as well, always got sasha fierce on my ipod...

i also agree that gaga is a genius

not trolling at all. it's not for everyone, and i'm thankful for all that she's done for the gay, lesbian and transgender community. at least she writes her own stuff, and a lot of other pop stars stuff as well

If you didn't know, she absolutely loves fashion. Style itself is an art, and she expresses herself with it in all kinds of ways. You can post a couple pictures out of context, but there are hundreds of looks she's worn and she can be sexually provocative when she wants. That's part of her PERSONALITY, something you don't really see with other female pop artists.

And even though you sidestepped the issue of her message, here are a couple examples of how she is a real artist with a real message and manages to be honest about it.

eugh. The general consensus here is stupid, every thread that's slightly out of line with popular opinion is just a cock-rubbing contest. I love gaga, I love pop, I love rusko, I love skrillex, I also love scuba, actress, si begg, and countless others, i don't care. I try to give a perspective that doesn't get represented and put some substance behind it. If that makes me a troll then fuck it report me or whatever.

if youre trying to give an opinion thats not represented rather than naturally expressing your opinion then it's trolling

given all you do is jump into threads to call out the general concencus

i actually find gaga kinda of fascinating in terms of the image she chooses to project and thats all shes good at really

i do find her pretty repugnant at the same time though given her music is aimed at children
