If skrillex was at the forefront of dubsteps evolution then wouldnt he be mixing an allstars compilation or be playing at a well known dance?? How can people even compare ramadanman to skrillex especially call him worse, yeah his style is different and progressive and not to everybodies taste but hes still a quality producer. Skrillex's tracks are all jumbled together fart wobble noises that follow the same pattern and lead to the classic filth drop. If thats evolution or progression id rather we went back in time five or six years.

Yea. If people are gonna call Skrillex the downfall of dubstep, they shud listen to some other 'filth' artists.
Hate on them instead. Skrillex (though I don't mind if you don't enjoy his music) is the new face and sound of 'dubstep', and he is a damn good producer.
Most of his stuff is electro, fair enough, but his dubstep songs are great.

^^Or is this what ''terrorstep" is?
Or was that a troll sentence I quoted coz I just saw a post of yours in the Youngsta thread?
WTF?
How on earth did he make these samples sound so dark? The voice acting is awful but jee-eez, he's reworked them so well.

think you missed the point there, might want to re-read what he posted.
he's not bigging up skrillex.
and he's not a new sound, he's just a clone like 90% of the other guys doing the same thing. he's an opportunist.

People need to stop nagging about Skrillex. If you like him, well, okay. If you don't. Don't go cry about it everywhere. Sure, it's barely dubstep, since there are almost no dub influences left, but it still is SOMETHINGstep, since it has subbass and it's halfstepped. That makes it step. Skrillstep. Haterzstep.

If that is half-step, then it's about 200+bpm halfstep.

must've missed my earlier post.
mortal kombat is an embarassingly terrible franchise these days
pkay wrote:I think the main thing being overlooked is that Mortal Kombat is a fail franchise in 2011 and played a massive part in bankrupting Midway Games.
That said in the event a dubstep song was used in a Mortal Kombat commercial it would be not reason to celebrate nor would it be a sign of taking over the world.

Blastfome wrote:All i'm saying is Dubstep has evolved. Yes, there's still the chill mellow side to the scene, but there's also the newer side that has taken music to the next level. It pulls from other genre's and brings it in to one. Is it really a bad thing? If humans never evolved throughout history we would be shiit monkeys with nothing better to do but hunt with our bare hands. There's nothing wrong with a little evolution. We all know you haters secretly bounce ur head to this new shiit anyway
But, the point is, that sounds been around for ages, and its called... drumroll please... electro.

haters need to face it, dubstep isn't just the same old boring sound anymore, it's actually EVOLVING and incorporates different styles of music.
here's some sick dubstep that isn't around 140bpm or sub-heavy to prove the haters wrong:
