I'm working on this, but I'm not finding it memorable enough, so I'm probably going to dump it and start again.

Money where mouth is.

I like the piano.
I decided to take my Dubstep in another direction this evening. I thought I'd try a lethargic halfstep beat combined with a nasal mid-range wobble to show what a bad man I am:

Something went wrong and I've inadvertently created a new sub genre of Dubstep. You heard it here first:
Smugstep.

I find the best way to timestretch is.
get the acca
get the original/instrumental.
BPM analyse the original.
drop the accapella into Traktor 3 (set the pitch up to be +/- 100.
edit the details on the accapella tag....so say put it to 150bpm.(if the orginal is 150bpm)
it tells you whats going on....so just pitch down to 140bpm or whatever.
the key correction is mint coz it doesnt wreck the vocal n make it feel like its going to send u 2 sleep.
hit record, let it play.....goto the traktor record folder.....there u have ur accapella @ 140bpm in key

sounds nice
or u cud use a CDJ ....but i dont have one so thats my work around.

Yeah it's more of an industrialesque acid sound. Feeling it though. sharp production values as well.

you cant force creativity
it has to flow
I find if I get down about something, I can't create (guess I am not emo enough to channel that energy into sad songs LOL)
but if I am feeling it, I can make the magic happen and crank out one or two tunes a week

Nice. that's my next goal in life. Nothing would make me happier. I'm getting pretty close. I can smell the plasticizer!
Anyways, new bit on the way! this one is pretty ugly slow sleepy tune.
