I checked this out a while back and although the printed specs sound good, the customer reviews have consistently not inspired enough confidence for me to try. If it goes on sale for even lower I might give it a go, but am currently happy using SpaceSampler for this purpose... it's FUCKING AWESOME.
Only costs $0.99, has tons of cool features and integration (dropbox, soundcloud, email, clipboard) and gets pretty regular updates/upgrades... the dev was quoted as saying he wanted to make "the Instagram of sound," which is kind of a cool concept imo. Been using it for field recording street musicians the last few months and have been blown away by how good some of the results were (sax player in the subway station with a little tape echo = ). Has a nice EQ setup as well.
